It's a shame that Mickey Van's clearance got the headlines, as Danso had a crucial late clearance as well Of course, Solanke is happy that Mickey Van is getting all the attention instead of the fact him clattering into Vicario is what created the opening...
Danso will get plenty of game time even if Romero stays. Cuti benefits from a rest and VdV is made of glass. What we do with Vuskovic will be interesting.
IMHO he is a must for the pre-season games. If he fronts up well, then given the fixture list next season there could be a chance for first half season action + second half loan (if he shows not yet PL ready) .
I'm pretty sure the plan is bed in Vuskovic over pre season and the early cup games, with Dragusin moving on in the summer to clear a gap
There is definitely an angle that shows Vicario doesn't communicate that he is coming for the ball. This was a theme last night and has been with him in every big game: he does things without telling his defenders he is doing them.
His judgement when coming for balls like that is as questionable as his comms to be honest. He redeemed himself by making that late save (expected, but very valuable) but his overall performance did nothing to assist those in front of him.
So the top two items of the summer shopping list are a DM and Danso's loan being made permanent, right?
Yup, though in the past clubs have gotten out of obligations Most of it will get offset by Marseille's obligation for Hojbjerg, anyway
Thomas Frank has confirmed that Brentford are open to bids for Wissa and Mbeumo. I'd take the latter. Three years younger and an absolute handful for defenders. Comfortable on the right or through the middle.
Yep. Mbeumo and Eze kinda sorts out our cover deficiencies at AM and on the wings. If Levy did this, I'd take him very seriously. I would love this.
With the suggestion that Luka Modric is looking to buy Swansea, I have to wonder if this might lead to them being a useful place to send youngsters out on loan The likes of Keeley, Donley and possibly Dorrington are at the point where a Championship loan is their next step in development
Welp, we're into Danny Rose territory already with reports suggesting that Pisa have rejected an offer for 19 year old CB Francesco Coppola, and the most notable things I can say about him are 1.) No relation 2.) He came through the Juventus academy, so no doubt Paratici picked him out 3.) He has no Wikipedia page due to playing youth football, while this season he was on loan to Vis Pisaro in Serie C...who I literally just learned is where Joel Obi plays these days 4.) Looking up Francesco Coppola on Wikipedia was quite a surprise, to say the least... That being said, he does have an interesting set of attributes: he can read the game like Ledders, he's surprisingly skillful on the ball for a big lad like Mickey Van, he's got some good short and long range passing, is good in the air, and is a proper unit at 6'4". If we could get this done for £2-3m he could be a smart depth signing
United in advanced talks for Cunha. £62m. I thought they were skint? That's the sort of ambition I'd love to see from Levy one day. Ain't going to happen.
me too don’t quite get it For me hype like this just proves once again that standards in football on the whole have dropped legends are easily created Statues easily erected
I've seen rumours that Lange is sniffing around Bardghji Rooney who is a good friend of Lucas Bergvall and recovering from an ACL , are we bringing in players with knee injuries before the coaches can get their hands on them now ?
