Being loosely linked with Douglas Luiz. Now that is a signing that represents a genuine improvement in a position of need. He’d allow Bentancur to move into the number 8 role where he’s so much better so it’s a double positive. So expect us to sign Rashford on loan…
Daily Bullshit Roundup - Calcio Mercato and Mirko Di Natale have both linked us with Douglas Luiz. That would be the Douglas Luiz who is just coming back from a two-month injury layoff and playing like absolute ****e
I'm sure there's no coincidence that Abdukodir Khusanov appointed Jorge Mendes his agent, and now he's in advanced talks with The Sheikh Mansour Team
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is nearing a move to PSG apparently. Circa £70m. I'd imagine that will push Kolo Muani closer to the exit. I'd much prefer the Georgian tbh. Hearing David Pleat try to pronounce his name is worth the fee alone, but the sad reality is we just don't have that kind of money to throw around unless we sell first.
Yet another thing we can thank Conte for We were alerted that he was available for peanuts, but Conte shot the idea down
Trust it to only be footy insider but they’re claiming Frankfurt are looking at Werner to replace the seemingly City-bound Omar Marmoush. I remember Mido tweeting a couple of years ago that he said he told Spurs to sign Salah (I think when at Basel) and that Marmoush is now the next one he’d recommend. If Marmoush turns out a quarter of the player Salah is, we need to hire Mido as a scout for Egyptian/ African talents!
Word is Liverpool are trying to hijack this deal, which we can assume means that Salah is definitely off in the summer.
It's quite difficult to sign Egyptian players, by all accounts. Their domestic league is decent, it's tricky for them to get foreign moves and the Saudis and Qatari clubs like them. Marmoush and Mostafa Mohamed at Nantes are their only homegrown talents in Europe, apart from Salah. Sam Morsy plays for Egypt but he was born in Wolverhampton. Salah's a real oddity because none of their fans hate him, as he didn't play for either of their Cairo teams. There was a video out last week of him on TV trying to get a move to Basel from Al Mokawloon. That only happened because their league was suspended due to the Port Said Stadium riot. I think most people on here can remember him playing against us for Basel and his obvious talent. Chelsea moving on both him and De Bruyne was lunacy.
I’ve seen tweets from Liverpool fans saying it’s a smokescreen to appease the fans, and that the ownership will fail to invest. Followed by hashtags wanting the board out. Lads… you’re literally top of the league and arguably the best side in world football at the moment. Imagine their reaction if Levy was handling their footballing affairs!
Not in the deluded entitlement + instant gratification worlds of the Sugga Daddy FC. If either had gone to the Poool or Spurs, finances would dictate such players would get more time to show their true worth
A front four of Son, Kane, Salah and De Bruyne would've been insane. Would've required a lot of work from the rest of the side defensively, of course, but terrifying for the opposition.
Trezeguet also got out, joining Anderlecht in 2015 prior to headed to Turkey, Villa, and Turkey again
