Jose Luis Chilavert used to take to the pitch carrying a baseball bat, which he'd leave at the side of his goal It's a thought...
Agreed, if I were him I'd leave. Try and finish his career on a high than stay here and rot. He could probably still go to one of the elites in a squad player capacity or go to somewhere like Fener (rumour the other day said Jose was interested) and challenge for a few honours over in Turkey. Anything's better than here at the moment if we're being honest. Bloke deserves a bit of silverware too, just like Harry.
If we were to sign Kinsky, Muani and Tomori would that represent a good transfer window ? Think it would set us up nicely for the summer window . New LB, CM and RW. Vuskovic and Yang ready for new season. Offload Davies, Reguilon, Forster, Bissouma, Werner and Richarlison.
I think so. A DM I think is most vital but the standard of one we need I assume will be impossible to get in January so may have to wait till the summer. If Tomori is coming in though then hopefully gives us the option of playing Gray in his actual position for now.
I know it was only one game but was very impressed with Bergvall in he DM position on Saturday. Think if he works on his awareness and tracking runners he could be great there competing with Archie Gray . I love how he’s so forward thinking with his passes , receives the ball well under pressure on the half turn and has a very good passing range.
Wouldn't be terrible. I agree with SarrMan, DM is too tricky and expensive to deal with in January and will have to wait for the summer. I'm not sold on Muani. Tomori fits the profile of player we'd be looking for. HG, very versatile and can play anywhere across the back line and is pretty rapid when he needs to be. Won't be cheap if it's a permanent signing, he's under contract until 2027. I'd love us to try for a natural LB in this window too. Tomori isn't enough.
Nope but it is the type of window I expected instead of the one I hoped for. Adding squad players to a side in 12th won’t really give us much improvement. It’ll likely prevent us dropping further though.
Rumours floating around that dragusin’s bellend of an agent isn’t happy with Tottenham’s current direction, and is reaching out to the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern about a possible transfer. Anyone know why Real or Bayern would know who’d be interested?
Frankly I'm amazed that nobody at the club has suggested he look for a better agent ...though knowing our luck, that would wind up making him a Continuity Raiola client, wouldn't it?
If Spurs could get their money back on him then I’d sell him asap. He’s not suited to Angeball and imo isn’t even that good. Use the money to get in someone else
Daily Bullshit Roundup - Area Napoli claim that Calcio Mercato claim that Palmeiras have rejected a bid for the Colombian DM Richard Rios, along with his perfect hair
Neither do I. Another in a long list of poor signings in recent years. He’s young though and will improve but atm I’d pick Ben Davies ahead of him and that’s not good enough.
Looks like Abdukodir Khusanov is a no-go: he just signed up with Jorge Mendes, and by complete coincidence the fee Lens are looking for went from £22m to £36m overnight Probably explains why Ko Itakura's name has bubbled up again
Surprised, but as per an earlier post not that much. When he finally goes, he deserves the biggest send-off ever, a great servant to this club....
This announcement is entirely negative. If we thought he had a future we would have negotiated a contract extension of more than one year. This looks more like increasing the value of a sale at season end.
Didn’t even technically negotiate this one either, it was just an option that was triggered on his current contract. I reckon it was triggered more for the Asian market Son brings us than actually adding any potential value to a summer sale.
