As long as he’s gone that’s all I care about now anyway to be honest. Utterly awful player and signing for us overall. Had about 8 good games from him over these last 5 years.
When you realise that we paid just shy of £1m per appearance for Ndombele and Sessegnon. Or, just shy of £10m for each of Ndombele's goals.
There have been far too many shocking deals in recent years. A serious amount of money wasted on bang average players.
It's now being said that we have a purchase option for Johnny Cardoso, not a preferential/priority option, which is only available in June 2025 Starting to look like some finagled loan deal in all but name
This happened either by chance or because we signed the players Pochettino wanted. ie We backed the manager. Hopefully that and more recent experience with Mourinho and Conte has taught us that coaching and recruitment are two entirely different skills. Having an edge in either of them is rare. An edge in both would be miraculous
I would give this window 8/10 for clearing the deadwood and 5/10 for incoming players, I don`t believe for one minute Ange asked for Solanke and some teenagers, we were linked with the likes of Neto, Toney, Eze, Gomes etc, but unsurprisingly none of them arrived. There are still holes in the squad and a lack of leadership, the first XI will be almost the same as last season and it remains to be seen how the team and squad depth pans out. I hope I am proved wrong, but I can see another season on Levy`s roundabout.
More generous than me. Outgoings are fine but to end the window with Solanke and some teenagers is well below what I expected. I don’t see how Spurs improve on last season’s league position with the current squad and extra fixtures. Ange has gone from saying he wanted business done early and how the second season he usually wins things to now talking about 2-3 years down the line.
The Turkish window is open for another couple of weeks, so Reggie is surely going to move then...right?
