Isn’t it obvious that any manager in any team, sport or job full stop that lasts more than 2 years has clearly done enough of a good job though?
Who said anything about a "good job" (whatever that actually means) ?? The numbers are in At the end of their second season, good Spurs managers will demonstrate significant upwards progression from their predecessor(s) . Those who are not, will be found wanting by then (some well before) .
Becuase if they not been sacked or resigned after two years then it’s obvious they’ve done a good job. You don’t need to call it a law of 2 years to make it sound like something you’ve researched
Again, "good job" mentioned (without a precise definition) . "You don’t need to call it a law of 2 years to make it sound like something you’ve researched" Looking at 40 odd yrs of data on Spurs managers in order to discern things of interest/note is a part of what is called ... research.
You don’t need to look at data to know any manager that lasts 2 years in a single job has done a good job. Anyone who hasn’t doesn’t make the 2 year mark. Hope that clears it up for you.
Again, "good job" (without any actual definition of it or any relevance to what I have stated) . As the basic concept I have stated appears to be beyond your understanding, I suggest you don't comment whenever you see comments relating to it.
I’m just messing with him. Reading back I see how it could be seen as ‘personal’ so I won’t say anymore
Solomon's completed his Leeds loan so should be announced soon. Leaves just Reguilon and Lo Celso as the definite unwanted players left, think in some capacity they will go too in this final week. Partly wonder if one or two will join them as well, especially if we do bring in someone else as they'll almost certainly need to take someone's place in the Europa squad unless they're a returning CG player. Davies and Werner have potentially jumped to the top of that list after Bissouma showing yesterday we really do rely on him when his head's switched on. Davies is now seemingly third choice in his favoured position and Werner seems to have been usurped already by Odobert, which just further highlights what a pointless decision it was to re-sign him on loan again, I'd imagine if we cancelled his deal we'd incur a fee to Leipzig but it'd probably be worth it if it meant opening a spot for someone potentially more useful.
Squad is looking quite lean, the wage bill must be a lot lower than it was before even though the club have spent significant money on fees since Ange took over.
Wouldn't surprise me if the combined wages of Bergvall, Gray and Odobert comes to at most 2/3 of the £120k base salary Nom Belly was waddling out the door with every week
We’re at full stretch for Europa unless we re-sign any former CG players. HG and Non-HG quotas are both full. Yeah wage bill is definitely lighter. So if Ange wants a new signing or two in this final week, one or two will have to make way in Europa to accommodate them and if we do that, you’d imagine they’d likely be sold as well as there’d be almost zero football on offer.
We've got the best part of £700k a week off our wage bill this window Perisic - £180k Ndombele - £120k Dier - £100k Emerson - £75k Sessegnon - £60k Skipp - £50k Tanganga - £35k Rodon - £35k Parrott - £20k Even if you figure in the wages we're paying Solanke, Odobert, Bergvall and Gray we're still probably £500k a week better off, with another £180k a week likely to be recouped presuming Lo Celso and Reguilon leave by the end of the window
Use some of it on new deals for Son and Romero ideally, as well as pay rises for the likes of van de Ven and Porro too who've been very impressive and deserve to be amongst our top earners. Albeit I do have a bad feeling this might be our last season with Romero if we don't win anything.
What they earn is obscene. Parrott on £1m per year Rodon and Tanganga on £1.75m per year Skipp on £2.5m per year Sessengon on £3m per year Royal on £3.75m per year Dier on £5m per yer Ndombellybuster £6m per year Perisic on £9m per year Not one of them lit up the WHL let alone the Premier league. Heard some journalist saying that you can't blame Toney going to Saudi because it's life changing money. He is currently on over £1.8m per year and has a net worth of over £9m ... like seriously...If he stayed at Brentford on the same wage for the rest of his career (he's 27) ... maybe 5 yrs he'll get another £9m. That's without endorsements etc. I know the argument re going rate etc but Seriously ... how much more money does any one need? Rant over
As I've long said, there is such a thing as not enough money - but no such thing as too much money Case in point...
