Wouldn’t even blame him for that. The Asian and especially Korean fanbase Son has brought has been huge, if Yang’s signing helps maintain some of it over hopefully the next 5-10 years then it’s great business, better if he turns out a quality player too.

And this is where the Korean school year comes into play, as that's broken up into two semesters of March-July and September-February, so the obvious question there is whether he graduated in February of this year or if he graduates next February On the face of it we don't seem to have an issue, given Yang signed his first professional contract last month that suggests he finished his high school education in February, which saves me hacking the database of his school to be sure and then finding myself on the kimchi & water diet for eighteen months
