€13m for Morata is actually a terrible deal considering they could have signed him for €0.00 at any point between January and June 8th And here's where it starts making for strange reading: he signed a two-year extension on June 9th, which was three weeks before his contract expired, only to join Milan a little over a month later on July 19th The obvious presumption is Milan flat out told him they wouldn't pay his buffed-up wages if he moved on a free, so they'd rather eat the transfer fee instead

Paul O'Keefe has said Girona have opened talks for Gil. Romano's also confirmed it and even cited O'Keefe as first breaking it.
Gil was almost as underwhelming a signing as Lo Celso when you consider we paid £25m plus lamela. Obviously KFC is a league above these two
I get the feeling any further major incomings are being held back by the desire to clear the decks of driftwood once and for all. It's understandable tbh. We went into the window with as many as 12 players on the 'for sale' list. We've cancelled the contracts of two of them (Sess and Wimpy Burger), released one (Tanganga), sold one (Rodon) and saw two more contracts expire (Perisic and Dier). That's five gone but only one sold. And that has been the sticking point for years now. The next raft of outgoings (Hojbjerg, Gil, Reguilon, Royal etc.) need to be shifted and on permanent deals in order for the conveyor belt to start moving in the opposite direction.
All the best to him. Gave everything and some, even if sometimes that seemingly came to the detriment to his own game. 184 games for us in 4 years is incredible really.
Obligation though so it's a formality he signs for them permanently. Don't know what the conditions are but I reckon it's initially a loan to help Marseille financially seeing as they spunked over £25m on the woman beating rapist.
I think we're talking about the same guy , he goes by a lot terms though to be fair and none of them are pleasant.
From what I've read from various ITKs, the choice was £12m up front or a loan with an obligation for £16m next summer, so we've definitely gone with the better option.
In negotiations, supposedly, although they may have gone for Pierre as a cheaper and less evil option.
