Under no circumstances should we sign Betfred. His attitude to Brentford has been shocking...almost Campbell worthy in its lack of respect to the fans. Can see Richarlison going as I don't think he wants to be a not so super sub. Would love the two Palace lads but no way are palace selling both of them and I can see united/liverpool/arsenal going for eze. Would like Palinhina but I'm sure I read that he signed a new contract on the understanding that Fulham would allow him to join Bayern this summer. Would also like to see us go in big time for Bowen, a hugely under rated player imo but can't see hammers selling him. Think Solanke is well worth a try. His hold up play has improved as has his finishing and he is excellent at defending from the front. So my wish list would include Palinhina, Bowen, Solanke, Eze and Olise.
Been some great comments on here whilst I've been lapping up the sunshine, but this resonated a lot for me. Bowen is a very underrated player who I can see fitting into the Ange method of play quite well. My son and I have been saying all season we would love the Fulham boy, so that would be great for me but like mentioned I sense he is destined for a "bigger club"... Not sure about Richi. It would not surprise me to see him still here at the start of next season.... Anyway back to reality tomorrow, hopefully it has stopped raining in the UK by now.......
Son's great at this as a winger, but poor as a striker, which is odd. Defenders can't risk dwelling on the ball, as he'll take it off them. Keepers know that he's not going to clatter them though, so there's no rush. Richarlison on the other hand? They know he'll take that risk. He'd gladly boot one of them into the net to get a goal. He has the nastiness required.
Yeah Bowen’s a baller, we were linked with him pre-West Ham and quite a few on here wanted him at the time iirc. Though he’s knobbing Danny Dyer’s daughter these days so I highly doubt his potential father in law would allow him to join us, let alone his club. I think he signed like a 6 or 7 year contract last year too, so it’d probably take a fee similar to Rice’s to get them to sell. Solanke’s been class this season but I think it’d be quite a risky buy. Hard to say if this season is a flash in the pan or if he’s finally realising his early potential from his Chelsea days.
I think he might go this summer and I'm not sure if Paqueta leaving increases or decreases the chances of it. Someone like Liverpool will probably sign him, especially if Salah goes. Danny Dyer's hardly going to have him kneecapped though, is he? He's just a **** Ray Winstone and they're both pigeonholed ****ers.
Bowen is really good and I think we’d face significant competition for his signature. As other have said I think there’ll be a few West Ham players in demand this summer, particularly Paqueta, so if they get a big fee for one of them then they might not be inclined to sell anyone else. Kind of depends on the new manager too. Solanke a hard pass for me.
Bowen is never joining Spurs for several reasons. Solanke would be massively disappointing. He had a decent season this time around but that could easily be a one off. Flopped at Chelsea and Liverpool earlier in his career. I’d look elsewhere.
Looks like the old Paratici trick: have someone on the hook first, then explore to see if we can improve And from the same article (and also being a pisstake in needing three tweets...) ...though Nom Belly not being on there is interesting. Did the journo forget he exists, or are we just paying off his contract?
Since we're all in fantasy supermarket sweep mode... Tyrick Mitchell Mario Hermoso Luka Modric João Palhinha Michael Olise Frenkie de Jong (ankle tests permitting) Dusan Vlahovic Jonathan David
Chelsea are linked, so they're trying to find a way to jack up their asking price hence he's been linked to us and the Bottlers Also not sure that it tracks with The Times saying a CF, non-specific midfielder and CB are the priority signings
That's on the lower end of the fees that have been suggested. Not sure where it's coming from, though. They are skint, so probably them.
They've also got the hump since Levy donated a pair of socks to the Ukrainian war effort as a gesture of goodwill when we signed Solomon on a free. I hear the socks didn't even match.
