The Juventus press release on Kulu going around : that is fake, isn't it ?? Even by Levy standards, if true that is utterly brutal.
Ally Gold’s done a little piece on midfield and attack, with defence to follow in due course. Says a creative attacking mid and a young winger are on the agenda. Maddison the main target but also asked to be kept in the loop over Scott, who supposedly has a £20m price tag. Lo Celso and Winks likely to be sold. Perisic also likely to leave. Says again Ange will look at fatboy and decide what to do with him and that people at the club have kept belief he’d eventually repay the faith (lol). Hojbjerg will be assessed as he doesn’t really suite either of Ange’s midfield roles. He’ll also assess Gil, Sarr and Devine, with the latter likely to be involved in pre-season but a decision to be made on whether it’d be best to send him out on loan for regular starts - it would. Scarlett and Parrott to also be looked at. Ange approved the deal for Kulu, as a fan of the player I’m glad we signed him anyway but even more so knowing the manager was happy for it too. Quite excited to see Kulu in a more attacking system and I’d be intrigued to see if Ange may consider converting him to one of the attacking 8s.
So the BBC think this will be our formation next season On the plus side, Kane and Raya are in the correct positions... please log in to view this image
Gold’s done a part two with this one focused on defence. Raya naturally the preferred choice to bring in for number one spot, Utd also interested. They’re also interested in Pickford who we’ve been linked with before whilst Maignan, Henderson, Sanchez and Mamardashvili are also potential targets. Bastoni likely to extend contract and Gvardiol now chased by City (so basically we have no chance). Guehi is admired, Pau Torres, Ibanez and Laporte are also liked, the latter has interest from Barca though. Josip Sutalo is another to keep an eye on. Sanchez tipped to leave. Perisic can go if someone matches his wages. Reguilon expected to leave whilst Sessegnon will be assessed but if he’s seen as not being good enough he’ll be allowed to leave, loan or perm (god I hope it’s perm, Reguilon is so much better). Dier’s future is uncertain but will be assessed in pre-season. Rodon too albeit expected to leave for regular starts. Tanganga desperate for game time and has interest from Serie A as he did last summer. If Spence can’t oust Emerson or Porro he’ll be sent on loan again. Udogie expected to make a big impact. Dorrington and Paskotsi might be looked at by Ange in pre-season - gwaaarn, Alfie!
John Cross claims Chelsea made a mega contract offer to Moore before he committed to us. Expectation he could make his debut within the next two years. Moore’s also been retweeting and liking posts about his contract renewal, including the one what Cross just mentioned. Good lad, Mikey, good lad.
James Olley (which has been RT’d by Dan KP) says Al-Ittihad are planning a €60m + bonuses move for Son with a €30m a year contract on the table. If true, we better tell them to do one, unless Sonny himself signals his intent to leave. Any player that gives service like he has I’ll always respect their decision if they want out, especially for a fat final payday and/ or a chance to win significant silverware.
TBF it will probably be his best chance of winning something and we all know that like Kane, Levy will never sell to a top PL team.
If it is Saudi he leaves us for then I don’t think silverware is the first thing on his mind anymore, as it would be for any of the players going over there at present. It’s a fantastic retirement contract that’ll set them and many future generations up for life.
Much as it pains me to say it, but if they doubled that offer I would take it in a heartbeat. Love Sonny to bits but unlike Kane whose all-round game is far broader and better evolved, he has always relied heavily on pace and trickery to achieve what he has, and even then only in lengthy purple patches before clusters of anonymous performances. Those two qualities will begin fading rapidly by the time his current contract expires. Perhaps this summer isn't a good idea to lose one of our most experienced and talented players, but I would 100% support selling him next year. To my mind there is only one member of the current squad who is totally indispensable irrespective of the price, and that is Kane. No one else comes close.
