Agreed. We could get Bastoni and Skriniar for two thirds of that, and I think they more closely fit the profile of what we're looking for anyway.
Along with Spence, possibly the most disrespected player at the club at the moment. He’ll leave us and have a solid career, almost certain of it.
He’s got a lot about him, Japh. Can’t help but feel that he’s been stymied by injuries and the fact that we have better players in his position. But as long as he stays fit he’s got a good career ahead as long as he can get established at a decent level.
I’d say we have a better player, but not better players. I’d pick him over Sanchez every day of the week and frankly I’d probably pick him over the two usual suspects at RWB too. His injuries absolutely have stifled his opportunities too but I feel we as a club have failed him - as we are with a few other young players - he’s a very solid defender and whoever inevitably gets him will see that.
Ally McCoist is clearly still drunk from England getting knocked out. An opinion as impressive as his time at Sunderland.
