Can you imagine Richarlison and Zaha in the same team we could become the biggest bastards in the league, well not quite as bastardisic as Chelsea, City, Pool, United, Burnley and Stoke but on our way. Or Everton's crowd.
James Garner going to Everton for half of what we were quoted is either irritating, or less of an issue when Fat Frank drags them closer to local derbies with Tranmere I'm certainly curious about who goes out during the loan window. Harvey White, Nile John, Jamie Bowden, Malachi ***an-Walcott and Brooklyn Lyons-Foster have all surely got to have loans lined up given they all qualify as CG already and certainly need regular first team football, either to prep them for stepping into the first team for White and John, while the others are more likely going to be for upping their potential sale value
Thank you very much for Cirkin and Clarke. These are top players for Sunderland. Clarke scored and had 2 more assists on Wednesday, he plays LWB and has probably been the best player in the league, so far. Cirkin plays LCB and is a beast of a player, his understanding of the game and tackling is way beyond championship level. Great signings
It's great that they are doing so well for you. The club were disappointed to be losing Cirkin, who was clearly a talent, but he wanted to play and that's the right thing for young players with his skills. I think that we may have a buy-back clause for him, which is not our standard for exiting youngsters, we normally go for a decent sell-on fee. It suggests that we strongly believe his ceiling may be as a PL player of a Top 6 club. Clarke was criticised because of his fee from Leeds, but someone who regularly attends our academy games said that he would always give his all and was great with those fans in attendance. Let's hope that he goes from strength to strength, because he's a skillful, exciting player to watch...and seemingly a good bloke, too.
Great to hear, Saff. Buzzing for Cirkin especially, one of our own and someone we didn’t really wanna lose but understood his decision for first team football - which is paying off. Was always a player in Clarke, just never got a chance here really. Pritch is with you lot too ain’t he? How’s he been?
As we've seen with the likes of Kennedy at Chelsea , some can hang around a club picking up the money and others will want away because they like to play football, I saw Cirkin play a couple of times and he always looked like a player who was going to make it and if he does it playing for Sunderland all well and good
Damn you! Every time someone mentions James Garner I can't get The Rockford Files theme out of my head.
Agree mostly, but these people employ an agent who is supposed to look after them. Surely an agent should speak to them occasionally and say things like "are you a football player and would you like to play football" to start a conversation about maybe transferring to a team where they might play. Clearly most are bastards anyway or they wouldn't transfer them to a team that's got three full teams out on loan and many will never get near the first team, but might have a good career in a lower league. I dunno, if I had the skill to play football I think I'd probably like to play. Somewhere.
To be fair to Kenedy he has been playing, just not for Cheslea. He's made 202 appearances in all competitions at 26, which isn't amazing, but isn't too bad either. Played regularly for Newcastle and Granada, but some failed loans everywhere else. Joins Real Valladolid, whose chairman is our recent guest, Fat Ronaldo. Recently promoted to La Liga and I've only heard of one of their players. Good luck.
Ended up at a street food stall kofta kebab, salad, coriander n chilli sauce, fresh coriander and onion raita would eat again 9/10 Swerved the shops around the stadium, I’m sure everyone understands
According to the PL website Nikola Karczewska is on our squad. I assume this is a mistake but good luck to her if true.
