Either they slipped a buyback clause into the deal, or it;s as dodgy as Tim Howard joining Everton where he couldn't play against Man Utd for several seasons
Time will tell on that but it’s definitely refreshing to see the club getting things done early and seemingly all on the same page with who/what they want
And there was me thinking I was opining in an echo chamber. Someone was listening after all Definitely a diplomatically insensitive move for him. Ironic he replaces Forster! £12m is a steal as well.
I keep expecting Chelsea to swoop in and sign him under our noses Still a little concerned about the police matter because he’s still officially under investigation.
Chelsea already have Kante, Mount, Jorginho, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek and Barkley. The days of Spend Spend Spend are over. Spaces will have to be made in the squad for new players and they'll have to get decent fees for outgoing players and be much more economic on player wages. They will spend a lot this summer to replace Lukaku and their central defenders, but from now on, it isn't going to be anything like it has been. I've discounted the police investigation. If it was a potential issue, we'd be nowhere near this player.
I am choosing to believe he is innocent until he is proven guilty. I’m reserving all judgment on not footballing issues until then.
They may get Richarlison over us, especially now that Lukaku could be heading back on loan to Inter but I don’t see another Willian situation with Bissouma, I think without jinxing anything too heavily - he’s ours. Agree on the police matter, can only hope the club are 100% sure both in the eyes of the law and from Bissouma’s word that he’s completely innocent.
Take as much money as we can get for him, occasionally he looks really good but on the flip side he looks terrible. I dont think he will ever be good enough to challenge for a starting spot. Would rather see Rodon or Tanganga given the opportunity to develop
read this a few days ago not sure how this bloke knows or who he is but he seemed to be sounding solid about it
He’s one of the few people that seems to be semi-reliable with regards to insider info. For me personally, Gards is the best non-journo insider on Twitter. Not sure if he’s mentioned anything on Bissouma’s case but he’s probably the only guy who I’ve noticed over the years to be accurate almost most of the time.
Fingers crossed the investigation into Biss is closed and that it’s simply a case of no-one has made it official publicly yet.
The Telegraph are claiming £3m in add-ons, a buyback clause and a 20% sell-on clause. Makes the fee a lot more realistic.
