They're improvements on our current options though, so they would make us better, even though one or two wouldn't be the most desirable from fan's perspectives. I do personally think Coutinho could fit in Conte's system as one of the players behind Kane. There was a rumour that we could move for him in the summer, assume it's based on how well he does for Villa between now and then, got off to a decent start.
We should have Romero back after the Chelsea game and hopefully Dier not too far behind. Sonny might take a little longer. But we have so many games to play that they won’t miss them all, surely.
With the extra games squeezed in, he will have to heavily rotate regardless of any injuries anyway. These cancelled games are going to massively affect every team.
Yeah it’s going to be tricky no doubt. But we should at least have a better collection of players available for selection after the end of the month.
Not as tricky as it would have been with the Euro Conference League. In the circumstances we should be able play during Euro weeks - against small teams anyway like Arsenal.
Yeah I was against that tournament from the start. Getting eliminated without actually being eliminated was a blessing in disguise imo.
Could be a problematic fixture to rearrange. The TV companies and the police probably won't want it to be a midweek game. I wouldn't either, but the clubs and the league don't give a **** about that.
Plus I don’t think it matters what other clubs are doing in the transfer window. Not really a yardstick to measure your own needs by. It must be the January yardstick which doesn’t seem to apply in them summer windows when other teams spend plenty whilst we are doing the old 1 in 1 out routine
