Rumours suggest we were there to look at Pisa striker Lorenzo Lucca Lucca didn't get off the bench Okay, backup plan, Empoli CB Simone Canestrelli, mainly because he scored an own goal in the first half and then a hat trick in the second, which is the Spursiest anybody can possibly be
Yeah I think the January window will be at least 3 in and probably 2-3 out too. Also expect some deals (bosmans) to be announced for the summer too
Frank Spendapenny really likes shouting very, very loudly about who we should sell, doesn't he? ...oh, and why we should grow up and sell to The Next FC Dnipro™
I think we can definitely expect some movement in January, Conte almost certainly wouldn't have joined if that weren't the case. Though the fact we have Conte and Paratici is pretty huge at this specific moment, not only are they both very good at their jobs but I'd say the best market for talent right now just so happens to be Serie A... and it's safe to say they both know that league quite well. Tons of top talent is emerging and developing over there and there's also a strong handful of players whose contracts are expiring at the end of the season and we all know Fabio liked a freebie in his Juve days, although I'd kind of hope we could do some Holtby-esque deals as we need impact now and not just the summer. Romagnoli, Kessie, Brozovic, Insigne and Belotti are all players with just over 6 months left on their deals and every single one of them improves us in some capacity, mostly first XI but also from a squad perspective too. Then from a more expensive viewpoint you've got the two Inter CBs as well as Vlahovic, all of whom have been strongly linked to us at various points. Getting a few from there and shifting a few of ours would be a great window.
The Torygraph are linking us with Jordan Pickford If we're after a long-term GK, Dean Henderson looks like a better bet - especially as he's reportedly demanding first team football With that in mind, as Jesse Lingard can reportedly leave for £10m in January, worth a punt for a little midfield freshen up/HG top up?
I don't understand that one, at all. 3 years on his contract and Everton don't want to sell. Henderson, Pope or the out-of-contract Sam Johnstone would make more sense, as would keeping Lloris.
All this talk of signing Vlahovic as a No9, but where is the talk of signing a No6 with extra dip, a No7, two No45s, one with cheese, and a large soda?
Madrid fans shouted “**** you” and threw a pen (a pen ) at Bale’s car yesterday… Gareth, just come back to where you’re appreciated, mate. There’s also rumours about us trying to sign Tolisso from Bayern as he’s another whose deal expires in the summer. Good player, been massively injury prone at Bayern though, think he’s missed nearly a whole season one year and about half a season each for two years. If a deal for him happens it needs to be pay as you play, we can’t add more Lamela’s or Lo Celso’s or Sessegnon’s on big money. Football Insider (aka the one wannabe ITK account that still has a large following) are claiming we might try and sign de Ligt in January as Fabio thinks a deal can be done… They could at least try making their rumours semi-believable.
Tbh, I really hope the disgraceful way Madrid fans have treated Bale puts other players off going there. He won so much with them and was solely responsible for their CL win over Liverpool after coming on as a sub. Those fans are so self entitled that they make Barcelona fans look rational ffs
That overhead was just unbelievable and will always live in the memory, watched it round my mates and one of the boys went to the kitchen to get some beers, he heard us lot scream our heads off saying “what the ****!” and ran back in with just a beer for himself . Maddest thing is, Bale’s scored three crucial goals in finals for them, that Copa del Rey one against Barca where he ran off the pitch round the player Maicon-esque style, the header in the CL final to keep them in it which they went on and won against Atleti and then that overhead vs Pool. It’s crazy how disrespected a guy who done that for them is. They really are a terrible fanbase.
The Express has taken a momentary break from the culture war bollocks they churn out to claim that Conte and Paratici have agreed that our number one target for January is Weston McKennie
Their fans were as toxic and entitled as Football Twitter before Football Twitter was even an thing, and that’s saying something.
As much of a turd as Eden Hazard is, having the Francoists jeer him at his unveiling for the crime of not being Kylian Mbappe was ****ing absurd
Football BSider claim that Conte wants Ndombele gone in January, either on transfer or loan-to-buy Meanwhile, the ever-reliable Turkish sources say we're lining up a January move for Kim Min-jae
HITC reporting that Bergwijn is also for the chop in January because he's not in tonight's squad That would be the Steven Bergwijn who misses tonight's game through illness...
He looked mighty pissed off at the end of the Leeds game. Not a huge leap to suggest he is being frozen out?
