It seems the headline writers have latched onto the idea of swapping Ndombele for Kessie in January That simply will not happen, because it makes absolutely no financial sense whatsoever to swap a player with four years on his contract for a player who, come January, will have six months on his contract. That's one hell of a financial hit to be taking, which usually only occurs at clubs run by oil barons who can shrug off having to write off £40m without thinking about it Similar can be said for the other swap deal that headline writers are fixating on, Ndombele for Aouar, which is similarly unbalanced as Aouar has two years on his contract and Lyon are trying to move him on for reasons that definitely aren't related to him being one of their top earners no don't look that up it's clearly his attitude honest Realistically the only worthwhile swap available is to send him Cagliari's way for Nandez, who is being linked with us for a January move and has three years on his contract - but as Cagliari aren't exactly in a position to match his £120k a week wages, that's likely never going to happen In other words, let's see if Inter are having a fire sale in January or not, as that's likely the best solution
