10 days left in the window, we probably need to a deal a day 5 in and 5 out if the we are to make the improvements that we as fans all crave. But we need to be realistic at this point - Moving on Sissoko, Aurier and Ndombele and bringing another striker, midfielder and defender might give us a a squad that Nuno can work with.
Yeah that could work in a way but still doesn’t help with immediate injection of cash for new signings.
Daniele Longo, one of the guys who were first/ near first to report about Sarr is saying the deal is one step away. Definitely sounds like Sarr will be heading back to Metz for the season.
Yeah I’m thinking 3 or 4 out and 3 or 4 in by deadline and I’m excluding Sarr in that as I’m not including ones that get immediately loaned out. If we also sell Kane as one of those we’re mugs, absolute mugs. Apparently he’s gonna travel to Wolves tomorrow, be interesting to see the away fans reaction should he come on.
it’ll be quite telling if he doesn’t come on, especially if we’re in need of a goal, a target man, or perhaps a change of shape.
Yeah it'll all depend on how the game's panning out. I think if we're down by a goal or the current setup isn't looking fruitful he'll come on. If we have a nice lead (doubtful, Wolves aren't mugs) then he'll probably remain on the bench. I'm hoping he starts on Thursday though, even at 50% he should be able to knock a couple in against Pacos.
Apparently Lyon have rejected a swap deal of Ndombele for Aouar but Lyon are still open to selling Aouar in a cash deal.
If the "but" happens then I think fans will seriously riot. Selling him with just over a week left, no standout replacement and whoever we do target will be 50% more expensive as the selling club will know we're desperate with cash to burn will just likely be a disaster. Knowing us we'd sign another Soldado or Janssen too.
I want him gone but selling him now without 2 strikers coming in beforehand will be plain stupid. My gut instinct says he'll go on the final day for £100m plus Jesus
Lyon must be stupid Aouar has two years on his contract and Lyon are looking to get rid due to his high wages "poor attitude" Ndombele has four year on his contract If that deal exists, and I highly doubt that it did, Lyon would have done so much better out of it because even if Ndombele lumbered on for a season, they could easily flip him for £15-20m profit next summer
Sky are now saying we’re interested in him and KK. If he had an end product I’d be all for it but it’d just be like watching a few 100m races during a game of football.
