He'd probably score against them now though, to be fair! <laugh>

Seriously though, do you think he's played against worse Arsenal teams than this one?
His peak was around the 09/10 season and you were much better than.
Finished 3rd with a defence of Sagna, Gallas, Vermaelen and Clichy.

Sky now saying that Milenkovic might stay at Fiorentina.

The Mirror reports that we will move for Aouar, as Arsenal have signed Odegaard.

Worse teams? No. Worse defences? I think so.

Gallas was very hit and miss, Vermaelen wasn't reliable defensively at all and I always thought Clichy was a liability (couldn't understand why City wanted to buy him when they did, he was coming off the back of a poor season). Sagna was the only consistent player in that backline.

He's played against a Sagna, Squillaci, Djourou and Gibbs backline before, which - for me - is worse (personnel wise).

£150m is what they have to pay Levy to make him answer his phone

At which point he says "Not interested" and hangs up on them

Domenico Berardi has asked to leave Sassuolo

Meanwhile, Sissoko has reportedly rejected leaving for a Middle Eastern club - because he doesn't want to move to the Middle East, presumably as his spot in the France squad would disappear overnight

It's got to the point where I'm at least half-hoping for holes in the squad--like the ones at RB and DM that Tanganga and Skipp are filling, or the one at striker that Kane himself once filled. If you have a manager who's good with young players, a stale squad, and a really talented group of young players, losing veterans and giving young players a chance is likely to help you. What I'm really wishing at this point is that at least Parrot, and maybe one or two other young strikers, were still in the squad along with Scarlett. I think one of them will be a star, but it's hard to know which one.

The other obvious problem is that the squad is bloated. But that happens to be very convenient for the new league. Nuno supposedly plans to start 11 different players, and it'll still be a fairly strong team. Maybe:

    Gollini
    Doherty Rodon Romero Davis
    Winks lo Celso
    Clarke Gil Sessegnon
    Scarlett

And that still leaves out White, Sissoko and Aurier. Gil did well as a CAM the few times he played there, from what I gather, and may be the best bet for CAM going forward.

Rotating two teams that each play once a week is nice because it gives the second team a chance to work out how to play with each other, a platform to get to the first team, and plenty of rest, which is important if you want both teams to play with intensity.

There may be a method to the madness.

Can't see it, to be honest. Lloris can be quite fiery, but I doubt he'd get like that over this.

Sounds like bollocks to me tbh.

What doesn't sound like bollocks is Kane complaining that Levy has made Kane look bad to the Spurs fans...

....by being quiet and saying nothing <laugh>

Possibly. If there was a bust up of sorts, it wouldn’t surprise me though.

    So what happens with Kane?
If Levy is holding out for the amount claimed - £125M to £150M? - why wouldn’t City just offer that to Dortmund for Haaland? They would surely sell and he would represent a better long term investment.
Nobody else is competing for him at that price.
He’s the England captain with a World Cup next year. He can’t sit out a season or play at 50%. Is he going to be welcomed back into the team and play at the level he can and does realistically? What’s going to happen if he’s still at Spurs on 1st September?

I actually think fair play to Lloris if he’s done it though. He’s a WC winning captain and given his role in the dressing room he has every right to call out players for this ****, hell it’s his job as far as I’m concerned. Harry is clearly supposed to be a leader in the squad, he’s basically vice-captain, and he has clearly been acting out. IMO it’s healthier for players in leadership positions to speak to squad members about this sort of thing than to not and if Harry is really having none of it then that says more about him tbh.

All rumours obviously, at this point.

I think if he knuckles down and produces the goods, which is what I think he will do, then there will be no issues internally or with the fans. Like I said earlier the relationship with the fans will clearly have changed tone but if he bangs in 20+ in the league again then I’d have no complaints. If he keeps acting out though after the window shuts then there will be all kinds of issues.

Southgate will just play an extra defender, you know how he just loves to defend.
