He will, at this moment, be wondering how the 2nd most successful ever England captain and triple golden boot winner has, in a matter of days, become the object of such scorn and ridicule.

What he should be asking himself is "given the above, why didn't Pep prioritise me over Grealish and why was Grealish given the no.10 shirt?"

I imagine it must be difficult to ask yourself those deep, searching questions when you and brother/agent are playing ping-pong with the family brain cell

According to The Times, the price we'll consider opening negotiations with is now £160m (although you have to get through a lot of bullshit about our "hardball tactics" which are "hampering" the deal)

I like to think the extra £10m is entirely because of the self-pitying crap Fraudiola came out with the other day

So with the news saying that Romero is on loan and the fee to make the loan permanent will be paid at the end of the season (preferably in May, although best play it safe and get that **** paid in January...) at which point do we try to convince ourselves the cash + Sanchez deal for Kounde is going to happen before the window shuts?

It's been a while since we've been linked with him, but Kim Min-Jae is joining Fenerbahce.
Still has to finalise some details and do his medical. Arrives in Turkey tomorrow to complete things.

Whichever figure is more accurate, Tanguy Ndombele is still our record signing.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

    So,
    1. Kane publicly declares he wants out.
    2. Media say City ain't spending more than £100m on him.
    3. Media then say Spurs want £160m.
    4. Media claim deal agreed for £160m 2 weeks ago at a wedding.
    5. Deal clearly not done.
    6. Kane refuses to return on time to training.
    7. City spend £100m on Grealish.
    8. Kane says he would never disrespect spurs fans.
    9. He who must be called Pep says City interested in Kane but only if Spurs negotiate.
    10. City lose to Leicester failing to score.

    Media take on it...
Spurs will sell if City offer £120m with £20m add ons....
Oh to be able to have a job where you get a decent wage for making ****e up <laugh>

You missed the part about the player scoring the winning goal was somebody The Sheikh Mansour Team could have held onto but decided they'd rather sign a Brazilian teenager who has flattered to deceive for four years

To be fair, a lot of people miss that point...

Does anyone think Harry Kane will be as emotional as Messi when he leaves Spurs?

I mean, if he genuinely cared as much as his very expensive crocodile tears suggest, he would have agreed to a bigger wage slash than 50% and/or agreed to a shorter contract than 5 years (which basically committed the club to paying him €250,000 per week as a club ambassador for the final 2 years of his contract). Even a 90% cut would earn him €50,000 per week which is well above average for La liga.

Wonderful footballer but also a tax dodging, greedy bastard whose true colours this whole saga has exposed (as well as exposing the general incompetence of one of football's biggest clubs).

Zero sympathy for either party from me.

The Times report that we've agreed a fee with Inter for Lautaro Martinez

Just how ****ed are Inter's finances that they're letting both Lukaku and Martinez leave this summer?

I think the sooner he goes now the better. Provided of course we strengthen the whole team with the money.

I had similar thoughts as you. But others have said that even if he had agreed to play for free then they couldn’t have registered him anyway?

Yeah it genuinely feels to me that his time is over now. Seeing him stay and play, I don’t think it would feel the same. I don’t think he would be booed if he plays again but I doubt fans will be singing ‘he’s one of our own’ ever again.

Judging by this analysis, they're so deep in the **** they're basically a Roman aqueduct...

They have to get their wage bill to below 70% of their revenue. Without Messi's wages it's still at 95% and they've got new signings they haven't registered.
