I think the loan (as well as being financially beneficial to us) may also be because he can’t transfer registration permanently twice in the same window or something like that? Not sure of the rules. Now the focus needs to be outgoings. It sounds like we’re focused on Sissoko leaving next and I suspect Aurier is in the queue too. RB has to be a priority now and if that player could be HG I think that would also be a bonus. Signing another CB probably depends on Sanchez going, because that’s where the interest seems to be rather than Dier. If we sign Tomiyasu it’ll be interesting to see how that affects things. I don’t see him as a RB personally so for me I’d still want someone as a specialist in that position. Signing a CM is probably contingent on the right players leaving and coming available. We’re getting pretty tight on the HG front now, I think, so addressing that balance somehow would be a good thing to do.
I’ve only seen clips of Tomiyasu so can’t truly speculate but I think he looks very comfortable in both positions. He seems technically sound and capable of both aspects of a modern day FB. I think we can more or less expect Sissoko to depart this summer whilst I think Sanchez could too, sounds like Sevilla are really interested in him and I hope we take advantage of that. That’ll then be another two Non-HG players out the door and there’s still Aurier and possibly Dier who could follow so I think there’s still decent scope for us to target Non-HG players should we choose. It would be ideal to boost our HG numbers though (especially from a Prem-experienced viewpoint), albeit I don’t think it’s a huge issue at the moment. Whilst Skipp and Sess are still young enough to not be registered, they’ll both hopefully be involved this season and for ECL purposes especially I’d imagine a few more academy players will get game time which allows us a bit of freedom of needing/ wanting to up the HG numbers to fulfil squad quota. Scarlett and John especially I think could see game time. There’s also the point of which HG players do we target that won’t cost us a stupid amount of English premium tax? Ings is off the list now, I’d be surprised if Brighton sold Lamptey after selling White, Aarons could be a possibility and I’d like to see him in a Spurs shirt, can’t think of too many others at the moment that’d either be good enough/ want to join/ are in our price range.
Etete’s at Northampton Town for the season. Apart from that it seems up to date. Though I do like the way you spell “Savilla”, lol.
Love it how he won’t go ‘into any specifics’ still leaving all options open. These idiot footballers don’t realise that fans are long in the tooth…got more experience in life and know **** behaviour when they see it. Kane is a bit of a selfish idiot and it rings true considering he was willing to jeopardise our chances in the CL final by making his half arse fit self available resulting in man of the moment Lucas missing out(Poch won’t be forgiven for that weak management) Cant help noticing these character traits in people. The type of guy who hogs the free kicks having scored just one in his career…that kinda guy.
He should be thankful that he has a talent for playing football because on this week's evidence, if he didn't, then he'd probably be making tea on a building site and getting blasted for ****ing that up too.
Yeah he’s definitely a selfish player but tbf a lot of top players are. Obviously not on their level but Messi and Ronaldo are exactly the same, they want to take every penalty and free kick and play every minute of every game etc. It’s a not a bad thing but sometimes with Kane, it comes at a cost to the team. I’ll be honest, now it’s abundantly clear he will do what he can to get his move, I want him gone and for Spurs to move on. There is talk that Inter want £65million for Lautaro Martinez, sell Kane for double that and sign him and build a new team.
yes mate…I’ve come round to having a Spurs without Kane, strange considering the magnitude of the player however we love the club, so when you act like Kane has over this transfer then it does something to you and leaves a bitter taste. I didn’t mind him moving initially because I felt he deserves that chance but if he’s thinking he’s bigger than my club then I’m afraid we are done. Would absolutely love Martinez…I see him like a Suarez…I’m looking forward to the re build however it goes because I think we need to embrace a new direction…the club had gone into a post Poch coma. When Kane goes it’s definitely the beginning of a new era for us.
Him, Dele, Sissoko, Dier and Aurier naffing off would be like a breath of fresh air throughout the club. I don't know about a coma; it's more like a maggot-infested corpse
