Ozan Kabak is reportedly available for £8.5m, after Saltypool decided not to take up the option on his loan Another one to add to Paratici's outbox? Or more like an Arnesen signing we can flip a couple of seasons from now for £20m?
Been in the Welsh U20 squad, so he's decided to move to Germany to play some first team football. Probably a sensible decision.
Aouar Watch First up we have Julien Laurens of Le10 Sport putting his name to reports that we have at the very least made a formal enquiry Secondly we have Alexis Bernard of FootballDotLondon (who, for future reference, is is to them what Alasdair Gold is for us) who notes that while they made the first offer, the €20m they offered is significantly below Lyon's €25 asking price that leaves the door open to walk in and say "Is this how much you wanted?" Get it done, Fabio
BBC reporting that "Kane has a gentleman's agreement to leave this summer".... How the **** do they know ffs????? Pathetic "reporting"
Skyte Sports brought up the "gentleman's agreement" when they first started their removal campaign as compelling evidence he was leaving ...which, if anything, made it sound like complete bollocks as every single time talk of a "gentleman's agreement" is used to spike the number of punters heading to Skyte Bet the player stays for the season (as happened with Modric and Mahrez) or it's ignored completely (as happened when Rodgers raided Swansea for Joe Allen in spite his agreement saying he wouldn't sign any Swansea players as soon as he went to Klanfield)
Aouar Watch ESPN claim that we're willing to swap Ndombele for Aouar On the other hand, Julien Maynard says what batshittery is this about us offering Ndombele for Aouar as that's clearly a bad deal for us to offer I'm tempted to believe Maynard, given Ndombele is contracted until 2025 while Aouar is contracted until 2023
On the other hand (and I can’t claim to know too much about Aouar), they both look from the obligatory YouTube videos like midfielders who progress the ball through dribbling and quick passing. Previously I thought Aouar had a bit more about him physically but I’m not sure. Really it depends on what type of midfielder we want. If we want to sell Tanguy then there might not be much point getting Aouar as they seem more similar than not.
Imo what Ndombele has in potential is useless to us when he only pulls it out once every 8/9 games. If that’s his going rate then he’s a liability. Hope this Aouar bloke has more fire in his belly. You can’t take up such a pivotal position in the team and deliver such paltry performances on a regular basis. Team suffers in long term for sure as has become evident.
Aouar is similar to Tielemans who moves the ball quickly by spraying it about with passes, while Ndombele moves it by moving it up the pitch himself Which also indicates that Aouar is an upgrade on Winks, as that's what Winks' game is supposed to be - but isn't due to our midfield being as press resistant as a pair of damp trousers
Back page of The Mirror... Kane to stay at spurs say Nuno The Mirror online... Spurs players fear Kane will go on strike. No players named and no quotes.
Good news from L'Equipe: Moussa Sissoko is open to offers to leave Bad news from L'Equipe: Jules Kounde is not open to joining us Worst news from L'Equipe: Jules Kounde-Peters doesn't exist
Gollini Watch CalcioAtalanta report we have agreed personal terms with Pierluigi Gollini So give it the usual 7-10 days...
Our first game is 4 weeks today. I'm glad we've made so much progress in addressing the glaring flaws in our squad. @Spurlock to confirm.
This was my biggest fear when when we had no one lined up to take over from JM. I thought that we needed to give the new manager some time with the squad so he could see who he did and didn't want. Waiting until just 2 weeks ago to get a new manager in has put us on the back foot. This was always going to be a difficult window due to ; 1. The number of players we needed to shift out. 2. Having a new manager. 3. The Euros. 4. The pandemic causing us to lose money. This ain't the benefit of hindsight (as I, and others, pointed it out at the time). No matter who we get in, we are going to start the season with a disjointed team who will need a month or so to learn to play together...unless we are planning on making very few squad changes!
I remember the day we signed Jack Clarke and everyone was licking their lips at seeing him turn out for us about 2/3rds way into his contract. I said it was a waste of money then…well where the **** is he now? That 10 mill was better spent buffering up a deal for Grealish or somewhere else Levy is a property developer disguised as a clueless football chairman get him out
Agree with this. Factors outside our control were always going to make the large overhaul the majority of us want a difficult one to execute, but we could at least have better controlled the factors that were more in our control - namely the manager.
