This may be an unpopular opinion but I would like N'Dombele to stay. I know he has only shown flashes of brilliance but I think given time he will be a world class player.
By all accounts, Spurs have been looking for a while so you would hope he is the one they have made the number one choice.
Sounds like we may have made the second bid for Tomiyasu according to Corriere di Bologna. The first bid wasn’t too far from their valuation (around €3m-ish difference I think) so hopefully we can get this one tied up soon and move on to other targets.
if he doesn’t up his game then he needs shot. I understand to a point all this about low self esteem and confidence due to blah and blah. However now it’s a clean slate, so it’s up to the player to clear his mind and give his best, if he can’t do that then sell ASAP. Hence why I think fat ****er dombele needs shot…clean slate, another bastard manager, let’s see if he becomes the player he should or if he lacks the minerals for this league…his attitude reeks of dogshit.
The biggest issue with Ndombele is he isn't suited to the role we signed him for, with Lo Celso and Hojbjerg both showing better aptitude when they've been deployed in his role The main problem he has is he only ever goes for the direct ball when the role he's used in requires players to know when to make the percentage plays, for example while we remember Modric and Dembele splitting opponents with the perfect pass or run respectively for every time they did that there were seven or eight times where they'd roll off the ball and let the play develop or simply maintain possession In short, we need a Modric or Dembele in his role, but instead we got Tom Huddlestone and for as much as we loved THudd he wasn't a player to dictate play and more one to redirect it (for lack of a better word)
That's the opposite of my point. There will be a few players around similar to Tomiyasu. Whether he will turn out to he the real thing, who knows. But some obviously better player may suddenly become available later in the window. So why commit early?
Because an obviously better player may not become available and someone may buy Tomiyasu in the meantime.
That isn't very likely though.....not without us being given a chance to beat the other bid at least.
The player may choose a team in a similar position who are more emphatic in their interest. Why wait for a club that may not want you?
Aouar Watch Le10 Sport report we're looking at Houssem Aouar. I believe I mentioned it before but Paratici is reportedly a fan, and (wait for it!!!) tried to sign him last summer for Juve CB Watch Julien Maynard of Telefoot claims that Kurt Zouma is leaving Chelsea this summer, and we're poised to make a bid after Zouma turned down an approach from Wolves...which the Chavs probably drag out before offloading him to Everton Exodus Watch Admittedly this is usual spitballing from The Pathetic, but we're reportedly willing to let Lamela and Lucas leave this summer, although there's a difference: Lamela has been asked to leave, while Lucas is more if we receive a good offer CCV Departure Watch The list of clubs looking at him continues to grow, with Fulham, Cardiff and Celtic all linked so far
Mendes Rando Watch Since we're going to be seeing a bunch of Mendes clients linked with us this summer, may as well get the ball rolling with... There's a lot of 2+2 = £20m bid in this, mainly based on his being on loan at Wolves last season, although interestingly Wolves hit on this idea of loaning in a Primeira Liga player and actually letting them on the pitch
Le10 Sport claim that we're looking to sign both Marcus Thuram and Alassane Plea from A German Team Plea's a player I like the look of, and we were linked with him a few years ago when he was at Nice, but while if you squint his style of play is similar to Harry Kane's and his stats average out at 1 in 3 for goals and 1 in 6 for assists at both Nice and AGT, that return isn't as eyepopping as it needs to be On the other hand, if we play two up top, Plea & Kane with Son and Thuram out wide certainly has its appeal (unless we think of playing two up top with our midfield deployed in a certain mathematical shape of questionable parentage, of course...)
Aouar Watch So his agent posted this earlier... please log in to view this image Obviously that lot from down the road are also interested, although if Paratici wants to be sly he'll be working on this
His agent represents a lot of players and that's more Chelsea territory, isn't it? It's also only a couple of miles from Harley Street, if there's some medical issue.
It's also a couple of hundred of metres from Macdonalds (if there's some dietary issue) . < 2 + 2 = 4,444,444 >
Medical issue? Quick, somebody tell the plane tracker guy! Is it too much to risk noting he's also agent of Weston McKennie, who we've been linked with in the last day or two? Before the inevitable point about Juve telling us vaffanculo, obviously...
Sounds like Tomiyasu’s deal is close to completion. Was hard not to see our second bid being accepted to be honest seeing as there was only about a €3m-ish difference. Hopefully Fabio does indeed tie this up shortly and gets cracking on others, both ins and outs.
