So that's the end of that then... http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...-seasonlong-loan-spell-at-spurs-a3598066.html
We finished ahead of 5 other teams ( a full 7 points ahead of Hull , they would have needed 8 points to pass us )so I'm not sure how you mustered that statement frankly . Getting 13 points from a possible 15 in our last 5 games might have also disheartened Hull ,
Had they - as most expected them to after the "Silva revolution" - beaten the crappest team in the league at home, they would've been 2 points above you with 2 games to go, and hence your PL future would've been out of your control. Of course, there are lots of ifs and buts at play, but their limp defeat to Sunderland was surely a major turning point if not THE turning point of your season?
The fact that Palace, Hull and Watford managed to pick up seven points between the three of them over the last five matches (and four of those were picked up by Hull, funnily enough) escaping the drop last season was less of a challenge than most considering the amount of teams giving others the opportunity to catch up to them.
Stick to what you said here . You were wrong because regardless of if Hull beat Sunderland we would still be 5 points ahead of Hull and still be ahead of 5 teams man . Sorry bub , the major turning point was us taking 13 points from our last 5 games , for you to say our PL future would be in doubt if Hull beat Sunderland is a laugh really and to say our future would have been out of our control while we took those 13 points from a possible 15 is even a bigger laugh . Lets say Hull beat Sunderland and beat Palace ... we would have 6 teams below us . Shake your head and tell me if you hear anything ...
For those who need reassuring concerning our transfer plans this summer, I bring good news. Mauricio Pochettino has spoken to dispel the utter bollocks in the media..... "I want to tell our fans not to worry. It looks like Tottenham is not ambitious but that is not the truth. We will move in the market." So, we've got around £100m from sales if we let Southampton have Wimmer and include Bentaleb, Fazio and N'Jie. Who's it to be?
Madrid are desperate to drum up interest. The guy is fast becoming Wilshere or Sturridge, he is rarely fit enough to play. We already have an ex-Southampton left back crock we don't need another.
