Sess also had a bad injury just after he joined us I think, which somewhat derailed his start here. He’s bulked up over the summer which will help him I think but like you say, now he’s fit and in good shape, it’s a mental thing. A year of regular football will do him good though.
Should have done the same with Deli, he hasn't become a bad player overnight. He would rip apart the french league or even the Bundesliga
But would it turn his head, I posted a couple of days ago that I can't recall a player of Dele's standard going out on loan and coming back to the home club a better player
I expect your right, and epllion was another prime example. But regardless, the kid is good at putting everyone else’s transfer “ITK” in 1 place! Nice easy read. The account is currently saying not to worry about Skriniar, despite conflicting reports about it falling through. It’ll be an interesting test. All or nothing.
Never been done for an established senior player that is no longer in favour with the current manager (only Rose AFAIK - and he is out) . I would prefer Jose to tell Alli that : 1. for the first half of the season he is currently looking at 6 EL / 1 League Cup game starting XIs and zero PL starts. 2. if he wants to change the latter, get back to 2016-17 form in all the games you play in.
Skriniar starting for Inter this afternoon, so I would imagine that's its unlikely that he is leaving. Think tomorrow will be a quiet for incomings unless anyone leaves.
I think he needs to play at a slightly lower level because he has it in him to smash it. Just lacking a bit of confidence. Once he is right up top, bring him back.
Yeah looks like this final hurdle was a bit too big. I suppose there still may be a small chance and Inter’s decision to play him somewhat keeps them in a strong position (if benched, we could say he isn’t that good/ you obviously can do without him) but I do think it’s now more unlikely than likely that we’ll nab him. Certainly can’t fault Levy, Jose and Hitchen though, baring in mind our actual outlay hasn’t been huge (circa £60m spent I think), it’s been a fantastic window of incomings. Easily a 9/10, Skriniar or a good CB would’ve cemented it as a 10/10.
He may be a free agent but apparently his agent is not free. Twitter rumours say agent fees are 20mill
dont rule it out yet! Dias started for Benfica 24 hours before signing for city I reckon tomorrow will be busy. - a CB, and possibly one more surprise. Daniel seems in the mood!
Diogo Dalot has joined AC Milan from Man Utd on loan, so that's another Aurier exit route blocked. Looks very unlikely that he'll leave in this window.
Yeah I’m still holding onto a bit of hope. He got subbed off on 79 mins today, here’s hoping that was to ensure he didn’t pick up a knock for tomorrow
Can't see anyone coming in to be honest. It is nice not hoping the final day of the transfer season might save our season! Very good window... Unless you are Danny Rose!
