They compare him to Maddison but a buy and loan back deal could suit both parties as he's getting some first team experience already. We'll need to up the ante some though if we're serious.

Here is another rumour: James Lea-Siliki from Rennes defensive midfield possible loan to purchase. Watford also interested. Not sure how strong this rumour is but if it’s true it would suggest that Skipp is very likely to be recalled by Spurs in May.

it would be a nice coincidence if we signed him -- we signed Alex Tettey from Rennes.

 

This is either idle gossip, or the club have waited until the end of the window, and are looking for bargains from clubs who will have short term cash issues...

Incidentally, the Pinkun said earlier they don't expect Tettey to sign a new deal when his expires this summer - regardless of league.

 

Alex Tettey another NCFC legend in waiting. Can’t fault his commitment. Probably wants to bow out gracefully.

Let’s all agree and publicise loudly that Skipp’s ok, but probably not a top PL player. Maybe an average one. Best suited to a team wanting promotion, not with European ambitions.

I’m not actually convinced he’s very good at all to be honest.

Club have confirmed just now that Soto has a work permit, so he will "head to Norfolk to start training". So, potentially an option from next weekend if we're desperate.

 

Paddy Davitt seems convinced about Nyland signing soon:

"Orjan Nyland will be unveiled in the coming days as Norwich’s second and final signing of the January transfer window. The former Aston Villa keeper has agreed to join the Canaries on a short term deal that suits both parties. There will also be an avenue to make it a more permanent arrangement. For that to happen Nyland will have to show not only he is a reliable back up option for Krul but someone, much like former loanee Ralf Fahrmann, who can push the Norwich number one to new heights."
