I agree about Kelly. He will definitely be part of Liverpools first team next season. He's isn't going anywhere.
That list or at least part of it must be utter tripe. If its anywhere near true, and Ellis has no faith in Bruce, then whats the point of keeping him at all? Its tying Bruce's hands together ecpecting him to fail, which would be stupid. This can't be true. Plus- Kelly? He had a blinding spell in the last 6 months and was awesome for the reds, and if the reports are true that Dalglish wants young British talent he's hardly going to leto ne go thats at his club already!
I actually rate Ngog. Fast strong 6"3 stil only 22. He had a pretty good scoring record in europe this season.
2 words: Not True Bruce will get a healthy transfer budget, I have given the reasons why in previous posts. It does amaze me when I read ho so many people know our transfer budget and our financial situation because a mate who worked for the club told them. Unless that mate is the financial director, Steve Bruce, SNQ or Short himself I would not believe a word of it. We might sell Henderson but Bruce will only do that if he thinks its the right thing for SAFC. For me Henerson is a talent but he had a lot of bad games this season, he might not improve further in our squad so it might be the right time to sell him. I would if it meant we got Danny Welbeck for instance. People bemoaned Bruce last season when he signed Bramble and Welbeck, those same people were excited about signing Riveros and Angeleri, look how that turned out. We will make progress and we will take another step forward but give Bruce some time we it might take a few months for the full picture to emerge.
No disrespect to anyone but I have heard so many good stories from very reliable sources that turn out to be neither good or reliable that I no longer take a blind bit of notice of them.
Wigan supremo Dave Whelan will sell star Charles N’Zogbia for £9million – if a Champions League club wants him. Whelan has decided to let the French flier go in this window if he becomes a target for a top-four outfit as he backs up boss Roberto Martinez's plan for the Latics ace. Both Whelan and Martinez agree it is fair to let N'Zogbia make a move if it is to one of the leading sides around, but they will be far tougher to deal with if they are approached by a rival. Steve Bruce's Sunderland and Newcastle United are also keen on N'Zogbia, but they will have to match that valuation - and even then it would not be a straightforward answer. Bruce may make the first move this week and offer around £6 million as he starts the major revamp of his squad, with N'Zogbia the obvious replacement for Liverpool target Jordan Henderson. The Toon Army had a £11 million bid rejected in the closing minutes of the January deadline, a decision that both Whelan and Martinez feel saved their skins If we were serious about Zog he would be here by now,
Well there's 1 down from that list i posted day's ago. The friend told me that Bruce has liked him ever since he ripped England apart for France at Youth Level, i didn't see it although do try & watch them but Poolie Mackem may know about this game.
What's dissapointing about finishing where we aimed for?? You state "Season" - we had a disappointing 3 months - not an entire season. January signings hardly ever work in the same season unless you buy from another PL club so what point would there be investing in January when the big money is almost always spent in the summer?
