Agreed, if you're going to do a stepover, there needs to be an end product

I believe we urgently need a leader on the field in the mould of Ash at his best.
Just get the feeling that if we did have that sort of solid, experienced, tough-tackling hard-man showing confidence and giving advice (when the panic starts to sets in), the upsetting events of Saturday might have been different.

Believe this or not but I popped into Clarenden on the way back to Paragon on Saturday.

That bit is fairly run of the mill but whilst in there I got talking to a couple of blokes who had been to the game. When one said' You should have won that' ( no **** Sherlock)I questioned whom he supported.
In short he claimed to be a scout for Southampton who was at the game to report back to Adkins.

The fella was a Geordie and certainly knew what he was talking about.

His one big observation was how bone idle Brady is and that he leaves all the defensive work to which ever full back he is playing in front of.
He also stated Stewart could work harder but was ten times better at his defensive duties than Brady.

I'm a suspicious sort and can usually suss out a bullshitter so asked him some fairly in depth questions to which he knew the answers.

Overall I honestly do believe he was a scout.
When asked what he'd be recommending he said get at the flank Brady is working. He wasn't daft enough to think Daws would be playing left mid on Tuesday !

Brady is a luxury who isn't producing the goods IMO.

Bet Nigel Adkins will be happy about his scouts spouting off in a boozer!

I couldn't believe it. In all fairness anyone who knows anything about the game could work that one out in approximately five minutes of seeing us play though.

Even my nine year old can see what a lazy twat Brady is.

Brady is very lazy, but he crosses better than anyone else in the side, and if he wasn't there people would moan about the balls in the box.

Thing is, when Brady was at his best and picking up all the plaudits he wasn't lazy at all, one of the best things about him was that he never stopped running all game. Now though, he not only doesn't defend, but when Rosey or Chester shout at him for not defending he gets all sensitive and hides in his shell for a bit. I bet once he scores again he'll get the confidence boost he needs and sort himself out.
