Fit in seamlessly then !According to Wikipedia, Sam Greenwood's senior club career amounts to 10 Premier League appearances and he is yet to score.![]()
What is it that you don’t understand about the economics of championship football? The owners are subsidising the club every day out of their own pockets, just to give you something to moan about. Chuck any more at it and we will end up fined again. It’s not difficult. We have a bottom half budget, and always will have. Fortunately this league is so nuts that with clever recruitment and decent management we could still compete. But it’s incredibly challenging. If he's available for under a penny then we're interested, if there's a fee involved then as you were !
We've ****ed the Mcnamara transfer up, totally unrealistic bids and are looking elsewhere now. A ****show from the board again.
As a matter of interest and without assuming what we offered does anyone actually know the figures ie offer and counter-offer?Or, we offered what we thought he was worth to us and Millwall valued him higher so we moved on.

Interesting watching Watford last night who brought on a player they just signed from Barcelona. Looks like the relegated 3 will be looking to jump straight back and have the money to do so. Seem to remember Bournemouth last season looking like they might miss out so brought in 6 new players in the Jan window to guarantee it.What is it that you don’t understand about the economics of championship football? There it is in a nutshell. It's the gamble we took under Redknapp, allowing him to spunk hundreds of millions in a bid to ensure a return to the Premier League. It can only work if you don't get relegated again. We did, and we're still paying the price.
I do understand it you halfhead, its called satire ffs. Before you climb out of your pram, take a second to think that's how it might be meant. If you look at all the clubs that are supposedly bottom half budget clubs you'll see most of those have still managed to make actual buys this window with Blackpool bringing in relatively expensive players. Spouting your supposedly all knowing guff at me won't wash, you won't belittle me like you try with others on here. Once the ambition goes from the owners of a club there really isn't much point in them continuing, if they want to be a club that solely brings through young talent and not compete to try and get promoted then fine, but come out and say so.What is it that you don’t understand about the economics of championship football? The 1st offer was 300k and the 2nd was 500k according to the Millwall equivalent of Dave Mac. Millwall do and always have had him valued nearer 1 million ! The lad is a Millwall supporter , but being in the final year of his contract we thought it fair game to offer a derisory couple of offers. He is playing hardball to get a good new contract but neither he wants to leave or the club want to sell. Unlike with Patterson last season where we did the same thing, because he wanted to leave. As a matter of interest and without assuming what we offered does anyone actually know the figures ie offer and counter-offer?
I know Sam well. He's a great lad but in my honest opinion, I would take Armstrong, Kelman, Bonne and Dykes over him any day of the week. You must log in or register to see images
Totally mate. The gap between the Premier league and the championship is huge. That is now more evident within the championship, the relegated teams being able to continue paying the wages, keeping their players and indeed, splashing some cash. You always get the outsiders with a good manager sneaking in the mix but with every season that passes, the harder it becomes to get promoted.Interesting watching Watford last night who brought on a player they just signed from Barcelona. He's not the answer, believe me
