I presume we will have to get some players in if Festy, Baah and Louza are out long term.

Louorns, who knows people and players within the club, has reported that Cleverley lined up Mathew Ryan as a replacement goalkeeper. Nani was arguing over small details when the fee was already low. Ryan was in the building and ready to sign for Watford when RC Lens stepped in to sign him. I think that he would have been a good signing: he is a 32 year old goalkeeper, who is captain of the Australian national team and who has played for Brighton and was on loan at Arsenal. He is a good shot stopper and can play the ball out with his feet.

According to various reports, Cleverley has several other experienced players (who will cost very little) lined up, but - so far - Gino has blocked all the signings. It almost gives the impression that Gino and Nani want Cleverley to fail (even though their actions may harm the club).

Who knows how true that sort of stuff is.

If so you'd feel Cleverley might not even want to stay if he is being that undermind.

Of course had we singed a 32 year old keeper some would have complained he was too old but yes sounded like a good option.]

Although I reckon once Bachmann is fit hell be back in the team.

I hope you’re wrong but it sounds very plausible.

Only if he is match fit - which is doubtful.

And from memory he's one of those sulky mercenaries who only perform when it suits them. Not exactly what we need right now in my opinion.

Never seen that confirmed, but there was always more than a hint of suspicion.

"This season Dennis is yet to make an appearance for Nottingham Forest and the club are trying to offload him.

Sheffield Wednesday are among the clubs that are showing interest in signing the Nottingham Forest star."

He can't get in the Forest team, but is still a star? Who writes this stuff?

"Red Star Belgrade player Sherif Ndiaye (29) has an offer from Watford and is currently negotiating personal terms, Max Sport has learned. The striker showed in the Champions League that he is one of the best individuals for the Red and Whites, capable of playing at the elite level, which has attracted clubs from all over Europe.

The Championship club was specific and offered Red Star 10,000,000 euros. Given that the player is 29 years old, the Marakana would not mind letting him go, only if he manages to agree personal terms. As our portal has learned, the Senegalese is currently working on it, and the outcome will be known in the next few days, because the transfer window in most European leagues ends on Friday evening.

At the beginning of the transfer window, the plan was not to go at any price, except for an indecent offer, because he is very important for Vladan Milojević's system. However, taking into account his age, it is clear that Red Star will not receive such a generous offer for this player in the future and in this regard, they are ready to give him up.

Counting all competitions this season, in 25 games he scored 15 goals and provided three assists, which is a very solid statistic."
