They can bid what they like. Why would a)we sell ross to a competitator; & b)why would he want to go play in front of half empty stands and nothing supporters?
 
I really don't think we're that far off being a good side. Yes we could do with a commanding CB, but we'd need a CB to leave & that's not going to happen. Depending on what happens with Hall, we may also need a winger. But again, we have Poleon and White on one side and Hall potentially on the other. Given what's coming through the ranks and that this is currently a 2 year project, I'm beginning to think that with the current squad, we won't be that far off.

Bit worrying about Byram possibly needing a hip operation though.

No, I don't think we need a CB to leave, we are quite light in that area. If anything a CM can leave so we bring in a CB
 
Can only see Rossco leaving if the person that Bmac has been interested in for months is a striker

Strange one if true. Not a bad player, but he's essentially a left back, and we're well covered there. Can also play wide left midfield, but no pace so not the winger we need.
 
We're trying to sign Scott Wootton from scum - CB, currently on a month to month contract, would cost a nominal fee
 
If we signed him and he did well enough to justify whatever expense we incurred in getting him, I hope the kop would give him a fair wind given where he'd come from.
 
As far as signings go, I'm putting my full faith in McDermott at this time. So whoever he brought in I would support until they at least justified differently.

We did sign Danny Pugh first time round from Scum, can't really remember but did he get any stick from the kop?
