As embarrassing as it is shopping at Soton again, Van Dijk would be worth it IMO. He has it all.

I agree. It's all nice being linked with these defenders from the Bundesliga etc but what do we know about them? They could be great like Matip, I had no idea what he was like before he came, I don't play FIFA/Football manager.
Out of all the defenders I've seen with my own eyes (mainly the PL obvs) and considering availability...VD has impressed me the most.
Klopp won't let us be taken to the cleaners by Soton' though (if there is any genuine interest anyway)
Plus he will know the quality of Tah, Sule and others
