Mané deal must be real close
Always liked Redland but never seemed to quite match the early promise.
He's got a big move for himself now to kick on but he's going to have to for Southampton to succeed.
If he gets game time (wasn't always first pick at Norwich) them he'll flourish at Saints
Think they should have gone for Townsend. Much better, same sort of pace but with more end product.Always liked Redmond but never seemed to quite match the early promise.
TBH, if the release is low enough I wouldn't mind him at Liverpool. An actual wide man who can cross and has loads of pace. However I wouldn't want to pay more than £12-14mSame money too.
In the end poch didn't fancy him and he was frozen out.. why I dunno but he was.
He did ok at newkie and rafa certainly appreciated him.
I think someone is going to trigger that release and the question will be who.

Quoted by media as 10.5mil... I don't really rate.
Better than lallana though... just about everyone is better than him.
We'll be signing Redmond in a year then.Southampton buying Nathan redmond

Townsend is a funny one. I'd have taken him to Euro's as he's a wide player and we have none, he can beat a man and adds a bit of pace, and as an impact sub could have made a real difference for England.
But wouldn't take him at Liverpool. Reminds me of Johnson at City, few decent games but not the required level to do it consistency as proven by his time at Spurs.
