Always liked Redmond but never seemed to quite match the early promise.

Like Redmond. Decent player, not quite top quality level but very solid Prem player with room to improve.
At 11 mil I think saints will give him a go. It's up to him to grab it I suppose.
After that.... well saints might buy 3 more I dunno but right now he looks a direct replacement
Think they should have gone for Townsend. Much better, same sort of pace but with more end product.

TBH, if the release is low enough I wouldn't mind him at Liverpool. An actual wide man who can cross and has loads of pace. However I wouldn't want to pay more than £12-14m

Townsend is a funny one. I'd have taken him to Euro's as he's a wide player and we have none, he can beat a man and adds a bit of pace, and as an impact sub could have made a real difference for England.
But wouldn't take him at Liverpool. Reminds me of Johnson at City, few decent games but not the required level to do it consistency as proven by his time at Spurs.

I'd agree in terms of England yes he should have gone not rashford.
Bring rashford was a bit pointless and nothing has been learned that would not be learned over a 2 year east qualifying campaign.
Johnson is a decent comparison though I hope townsend would not want to be mentioned in same breath as that scum.
He's a left footed wide man that plays better on the right so often cuts inside. Not ideal for a winger!
