I think personally he's improves on what we have. We desperately lack competition, Pace and goals from that line of 3.

Is he a 30mil player? No.

Is this new TV money era yes... I don't k now what a good fee and a steal is any more.

Wanyama was prob a real steal.

What is a £30mil player nowadays though?

The money is insane and will be higher than ever this summer.

I honestly don't know what a £30mil player is anymore. Possibly the same as a £15mil player 2 years ago. If so, £30 mil seems about right <laugh>

Honest answer. I don't really know.. it used to be a worldie ten years ago.

5 years ago it was a top player but today? I dunno. It's still a lot of money.

The Southampton board seem to think he's well worth that

A random example

Of course he is. You payed 25 mil for Lallana a couple of years ago. Mane is a) younger, b) more talented and c) silly money in the PL makes the price of every player go trough the roof. 35+ mil for Mane is just logical thinking.

Bet you get better than him for 7...

That the silliness of it though. Lfc being a bit lazy.

If mane was playing in Germany or Spain £30m wouldn't be a problem. Just bit apprehensive given out last couple big money signings from saints.

I I think I his day he's quality, real pace and a goal threat. Need to add consistency though, and if he does then he solves a real issue for us from out wide. Offers real pace on the counter

only issue sue is will we lose him for a month during ACON? Potentially him and Matip

Say we got £30m for Benteke (just say!! <grr>) and replaced him with Mane.........so front line options of Studge,Mane,Origi and Ings

For no extra cost that is some decent options to have.........lots of pace and movement.............hopefully lots of goals

We will get at least 30 for benteke... easy money.

FOr me out forward line would be

Mane/Origi/Ibe - Firmino - Coutinho/Lallana/Ojo
Sturridge/ings/origi

So for me at least theres options there.

No 10 can be rotated about.

Is it better or just more options.... inconsistency is the watch word

Liverpool have joined a clutch of clubs interested in signing Paris St-Germain defender Mamadou Doucoure.
The Reds have sent representatives to watch the talented centre-back in action and could make a late approach.

Never got this leaving EU will mean can't sign European players...even if we use a points based system surely footballers earn enough and have defined contracts that they'd pass those tests of entry?

Sorry if this has been answered already

Footballers like other workers from non EU areas apply for a tier 2 visa. There is a special visa for footballers (other sportspeople generally have temporary visas). It requires a % of international appearances in a qualifying period - maybe other things, haven't looked.

Realistically, now we have left (and ffs England btw) the UK will be forced to keep the four freedoms for EU, EEA and EFTA states, or we will negotiate a deal that replicates it. EU will not agree a new deal without it.
