I wouldn't be at all surprised if Vardy bombed at Arsenal.
I'm not trying to put Leicester down, or denigrate their achievement, but I think their success owed a lot to serendipity - everything just came together at the right time. The team was far greater than the sum of its parts, and those parts might not be as effective elsewhere.

I totally agree.

At any point any bit of a run out of the top clubs would have had ranieri playing for 4th.

The reality is both cbs are immobile and aging.. their best 3 players are all under heavy interest.... well best of luck to Leicester is what I say. You did the impossible... you had a great year and what a party... but... well..

I think if they could keep the team together they might be able to continue the run, but breaking it apart will be very telling, imo.

For sure. He'd be stupid to move but at the same time he also wouldn't, depending on the perspective. Can see the allure of the 'big' club and London, but all that's on the table at Arsenal is marginally more money and exactly the same level of football. Some will argue it's a better quality team but there's no guarantee, as you say, that he'll fit in there and find the same form. If he stays at Leicester and they keep last season's team together there's no reason they can't reproduce those results again. Other teams will be challenging more seriously next season though.
 
Vardy probably has info about what other Leicester squad members plans are so his decision will most likely be influenced by who's off and who's not, in today's climate it's unlikely they'll keep hold of all their squad from last season
 
Can't blame Vardy f he wants to go. Not just the money, but at 29 it's his last chance at playing for a huge team. If he plays for leicestrr next year, he may get 6 games in CL but he may have average season, cost to buy might be too high, he'll be smother year older and no team in top may want him.

I I don't think he suits them in the same way but if you were in his shoes would you turn Arsenal down? Probably not.

I don't think with same squad and forced to actually play a cup that they would even get close to it again. That's my honest opinion. To assume every player will turn up with same hunger is dangerous.

Look at coqueilin at arsenal. One breakout year and he thought he was gods gift.

Look at how collymore went off after first year and came back like a total **** the next august.

Look at matic fabregas and hazard at Chelsea.. still don't get it there.

Vardy has gone to euros... I mean there's as many reason why it's tougher next year than this.

Not least of which is this now mythical status ranieri has attained. There's no reason he should be able to manage all this and deliver the same.

I'd not. But then if leicester pony up? Well...... even an average year and he's the main man.

Good point. There must be some nodding and winking in the background happening.
 
Arsenal are the only ones that make it obvious that wrong doings are harrowing but submitting a bid a quid above said asking price
