Exactly. Players who like to get the ball down and run at players, struggle right down the middle as you can't isolate the defender in the same way you can from out wide. It's why Ronaldo & Messi tend to play more out wide now.

Ehhhhh. Theirry Henry played CF for arsenal.... he played lw for barca.
Van persie played lw at the start for arsenal.. he as CF regularly pulled to wing to do as you suggest.
His best years were as CF.
Ronaldo and messes best goal scoring years... CF.
Suarez best CF... not rw where barca started him off.
Martial will be best running in behind teams... play him down middle.. trust me.
Except when he played at Monaco and when he plays for France
If you wanna waste him fine but trust me.. he's going to be a top top CF.

Henry played as a CF but all his goals came fromt difting out wide. Anyway, I'm not saying who or where will score more goals, what I said was, MArtial has been playing LW, and they did a point that playing like him who like to get the ball to feet and run at players, get more chance out wide where you can isolate the defender. Henry did this, despite his position being CF, he often played as a LW cutting in.
RVP was totally different type of player, he never beat a man with pace so has no inclusion in this discussion.
My point was, United have 1 (ok if you really want to include Martial 2) centre forwards. Both of which are under 22, signing a proven goal scorer and winner for 1 season to come in and play 25 games while allowing Rashford to develop and not over do it doesn't seem bad business or that it's going to stunt anyone's growth.

Maybe Digne at LB, although think he's had a meh season. Put Sakho in for Umtiti and think that's a Euro winning team.
