I think ings is another borini. He misses target far too much for me.

Let's see what Klopp makes of him. He won't just be tossed aside.

Meh they all laughed when i said Origami was a player too <laugh>

I just see a lot of Dirk Kuyt in Ings, hard working if lacking in class and we never relied on Kuyt for goals either but his willingness to adapt his game for the benefit of his team mates was 2nd to none.

its a big injury though so lets see if he can be that same busy type of player again when hes back, still has time on his side to recover and develop under klopp.

Even with all that extra muscle he looks sharper and faster to me.

right sort i think. he's worked him i'd say. saw that initial hamstring and said he wasn't up t high intensity game and worked him like sturrdige but with less attention.

Sturrdige so far hasn't broken down so who knows... i dunno.

i would agree. quite a bit in there. kuyt was vastly under rated for effectiveness, he was great at assists and goals in vital games. yes busyness and ability to run all day is a big ask after this injury so he needs to see where he is at.

the guys talked himself out of club already IMO. klopps no fool. when LFc were just ticking along the guy was all over fenerbache talking about a move so now we are seeing him injured and they **** him out he's back but the sour puss n him prob is not going to vanish.

Ibe i thought had better outlook and parents who were keeping him grounded but he seems to have just drifted off. he's got the power to be a plrem player but he is not looking like he gets it at all. he's stuck way out wide and puts head down and runs unitl it gets taken off him or passes back. he just doesn't seem to have the interplay and 1/2s in him.,
Steve MClaren was quoted when Ibe was on loan at derby
"when he arrived we needed 2 balls in training 1 for Ibe and 1 for the rest of the squad"
Derby fans (i used to visit an office in the area as part of my job) i spoke to were surprised when we recalled him from his loan in Jan.
cannot see it working out for him apart from development issue working in his favour

Edit oops see this was covered later in thread

Yeah it was a need for some one to run up and down the right side the motivated Rogers.

At this point his biggest plus is cheap homegrown club trained player.

Look at our only 21 man europa squad. No stewart now cos of him not being club trained and flanagan left out as we got punished for not having numbers

It's not a huge problem as u21s can play but it is showing that buying english is rather less than valuable when they are so over priced. Better train up own.

Don't know what's going on with Ibe. Seemed to look to be really progressing at one point but has just seemed to stagnate. Maybe he's just going through a phase and next season he can look to progress again after a bit of a rest and out the limelight.

Top scorer in the Dutch league, could either go one way or the other. Van Nistelrooy or Kezman.

Always risky with the Dutch league isn't it.

A goal and assist against England in their 2-1 win earlier though. I can't actually remember the goal so might have to google it.

Liverpool are one of several clubs interested in a summer move for Borussia Monchengladbach's Mahmoud Dahoud.
