This lot want 38mil in real money. Is he with 38mil of our 40mil transfer budget for the summer prior to sales?

That's what you got to ask yourself. If he is continue bashing the tanned ayre who is fresh off Miami beach. If not then let the club get on with it.
 
Not seen Alex Teixeira play, so all I see is a huge transfer sum for another 'forward' who players off the striker. We've got loads of those!

Is this guy worth it? for the 30 odd mill banded around, we could solve our DF and GK problems and have a bit left over..

We can get 25 mill for benteke Lol. Add 10 mill for Allen. That should cover him near enough

no, i just want to try and cut our losses as much as poss on the ****er lol. 25 mill seams reasonable i hope.

he is a good player, just not suited to us in my opinion.

Which is a fine opinion..... that isn't cheap, demeaning, insulting, half racist in places, or even a pack of less. ... like some.

He is a 25mil valuation. We paid the release clause. That's over payjng

Not necessarily. We paid the release clause for Can which was underpaying.
 
Sounds like Ali scored a wonder goal for Spurs today... glad we didn't fork out that extra couple of million to get him :(

Imo we thought we'd be able to wait til the summer and snag him then. 5mil.. if we were only offering 3 OK. .. but I doubt it.

He was all but shoved at us so our lot prob thought it was in the bag.... the moment spurs made an offer we should have moved. Did we?

Pretty sure everyone wanted it to happen but clubs couldn't agree a fee. Given he only cost £5m (plus 6 months back on loan) makes you wonder what the **** we were offering!

I thought the true valuation was 28m and the whole €50m thing was a tongue in cheek comment from their boss after his great form?

Certainly wouldn't be paying nearly 40!!! Just meant up the bid on 24.5m and seal it!

Missing out on him when he was offered on a plate to us, rumour has it his wages were the problem as we would not break our limit for his age group, is on a par with not signing Peter Schmeichel and thinking Ronaldo was two lightweight to sign. Ali will be the standout midfielder of his generation. If he stays with Spurs he will be their version of Gerrard as he matures.
 
we missed out on eriksen when he was cheap as well, i know some of you arent bothered by that but i think its a big loss personally.

I rate Erikson. Spurs seem to have the ability to sign good players on the cheap, I know they have had a few duffers, Lamale springs to mind, but usually they get it right. Always get good fees for players they sell as well.

Not sure on eriksen. At the time I thought we'd missed out and no doh t he's still get into the squad now, but he's pretty much a like for like with Coutinho but Cout has far greater potential.

Saying that, he takes a mean free kick so could walk into the team in that basis maybe!
 
Alex tex is 26, in a league which is not really highly regarded, not had a Brazil cap and until 2 weeks ago most of us had not heard of him. Forget the money, he's a risk. Not against the signing but I have reservations.
