That's all correct. It's just nonsense that statisticians cook up for pre-game reports.

That's like saying ok this horse won last 5 but they were not at York or whatever therefore excluding them.

I personally think you are wise in what you say but I was commenting on studying past form to predict future performance.

For example..... lfc go to Emirates. I'd bet on arsenal... lfc play palace. .. bet on palace. Lfc play Swansea put it all on lfc.. etc etc.

It doesn't mean anything as you say concerning all the changed and new conditions etc

On the other hand stats have shown we've also never picked up 3 points in similar circumstances :(
