Jerome Sinclair had a nasty injury at what should have been a key part of his development. Maybe its hit him worse than we thought.

Or maybe his crytic tweet is nothing to do with LFC. I'v read it and it could be about any thing. Maybe his girl left him.
 
The best way to judge Benteke is in the Belgium team as they are more technical and creative.

I believe he is not their main striker?


As some one who does not rate Lukaku that is worrying.

I'm not saying we will resort to hoofball. What I'm saying is that in order to get the best out of Benteke, you have to play a certain way. His touch, control are erratic and his off the ball movement is atrocious and worse than Mario.

Firmino and Coutinho like to play short, intricate passes and play throughballs - there is no evidence that Benteke can play that way.

So the issue I have is that why are spending so much on a relatively unproven player (IMO) who naturally does not suit our style?

Having thought about it, Benteke is tall but not necessarily a target man. All you need to do is watch his goals against us. I remember the 3-1 loss at anfield and all Villa did was counter at pace and Benteke was part of that. He can also score free kicks and take Penalties. I suggest you look at his goals. His goal against united was ace as his cool finish against palace.

I think his misfortune is because he is tall the assumption is all players do is punt the ball to the lad.
 
and poor benteke had a bad injury as well allowing mr lazy lukaku to play for belgium.

I think he'd a good finisher. thats what a striker should be.

More than half of his goals come from headers or penalties.

He looks good against us, as do most physical strikers because Skrtel is easily bullied. Agger and Sakho have both dealt with Benteke easily - it;s only when Benteke switches to Skrtel does he find real joy.

I don't like looking at individual matches but watch the FA Cup final to sum up Benteke - he was awful, easily marked out of the game, poor touch and without service, he's ineffective. Not mention that he doesn't work hard.
 
Benteke was miles better than Lukaku last season

And he will be miles better next season, whoever he is playing for

It's not even close, stop searching for things to whinge about
