    Good morning everyone. It's a beautiful day here in Liverpool city centre ... but I don't want to be out in the sunshine. I'd rather be here bringing you all that's happening in and around Liverpool Football Club. And even though midsummer's day hasn't long passed, there's still plenty going on. We'll have everything from Carlos Bacca to Danny Ward, Jordon Ibe and Philippe Coutinho. And a report which claims that Liverpool are "weighing up" a bid (clubs always weigh up a bid in tabloid land, don't they?) for Inter star Hernanes. I'll bring you all those titbits and plenty more.     Philippe Coutinho took time out ahead of Brazil's Copa America clash with Paraguay tonight to tell the Reds website what he's been saying to Anfield new boy Roberto Firmino. Snippets include: "I have told him that he will be coming into a club that is like a family," "I have also wished him a great and very successful first season" - but he doesn't appear to have told him just how good the pies are at the Homebaked pie shop (the old Mitchell's Bakery) just over the road from the Kop. So just in case he's reading. I'll tell you now. They're outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. (Clare Balding wasn't there when I popped in though)

    Right, now onto that Hernanes tale ... another Brazilian international linked with Liverpool. It's a bit of a circuitous tale this one (aren't they all?) but, now listen carefully, Brendan apparently wanted Mateo Kovacic (you might have heard that rumour once or 20 times) but won't pay £25m for him. So he turned his attentions to Monaco's Geoffrey Kondogbia, but he elected to join Inter. But that might limit Hernanes' opportunities at the San Siro ... hence Liverpool's interest! As Spock might say. Logical.

How have Spurs managed to get 14m euros for Paulinho?! Guys hardly played last 2 years and when he has he's been pants... Why can't we sell any of our **** players to China for silly money.

We have had £10m+ bids for Borini 2 summers in a row despite him not being a very good footballer. I think our problem is mostly the English players we've signed like Downing, Carroll etc. who have nowhere to go after they've failed at Liverpool, and that means going to a smaller club with smaller budgets who can't afford big fees for players.

You reckon he's driven a hard bargain? Rumours were they'd get the full 17m back which hasn't happened but don't think levy had much to do with some Chinese club come and bid a silly amount
 
Saints want 21m for schniederlin and United apparently agreed terms with the player.

Good signing for them if true

I would say that will only occur after De gea is sorted.

Is it not the case that really Madrid can wait til January and get him on a precontract? I really don't see how Utd can demand 3mil or whatever with 1 year left.

Hell they gave arsenal 21mil for rvp didn't they?

Very good at that price. I'd call that a steal really. I thought Southampton wanted more.

Where's all our charity money gone from last year? Had their owners pocketed it all?

They should have got another 2 to 3 Mil off us and 5 more off them.

No that must be coming out of marca. He is simply not worth it at all period and with 1 year left it makes no sense.

If he's still able to go to copa and is a decnet age then he will have value to someone. He's on the slide though

It's all politics. Reelections, who's the main man... who rates rafa and all that.

There's a very complicated picture there.

Barca asleep so much simpler. .. just please messi and the rest falls in around it
