Not really - there's a difference between being involved in the deal, and showing up to finalise right at the end and taking obligatory photos.

Your first comment said he wasn't involved. The second that he wasn't involved as much. They can't both be right!

Didn't realise I had to be so specific and literal in my comments ...?

Surely you can see the difference between negotiating and attracting the player, and signing it off and taking a photo?

I cans ee the difference being not be involved at all and being involved to carry out the final acts of the deal; ie your two claims :)

PS...that good mood gone yet? <laugh>

There's also a significant difference between being "out of the equation" and flying half way around the World to negotiate personal terms and sign the lad up. Personally, I reckon that'd make him very much in the equation, but you know best <laugh>

Firmino, who scored 47 goals in 151 appearances for Hoffenheim, is currently preparing for Saturday’s quarter-final with Paraguay.

“It is time to leave Hoffenheim for a bigger club to fight for titles, but for now I am concentrated on the Copa,” Firmino said.

Reds midfielder Can, who is with Germany Under-21s at the European Championships in the Czech Republic, is relishing the prospect of playing alongside Firmino next season.

“I am looking forward to playing with him,” Can told kicker.

“He will help us greatly with his qualities.”

Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rosen has spoken about the decision to sell Firmino to Liverpool. They have banked £21million with a further £8million to follow in potential add-ons.

“Many people at TSG have helped to make Roberto Firmino the player he is today,” he said.

“TSG Hoffenheim needs to make such transfers to ensure the profitability of the club. He is a big loss for our team, but we are convinced that we will have an exciting squad without Roberto.

“The money will not change our transfer plans. We planned our squad long-term and independently of the Firmino transfer. We want players that can take the next step in their careers here and which we can lift onto the next level.”

Apparently he is shy in front of the camera so dont expect a big signing on speech

He was asked 18 questions by Brazilian journalists before a Copa game and they couldnt get much out of him leading them all in to just laughing
