Again, I think that is harsh. Not all but some of them were good enough to do a lot more but they were at Liverpool during the worst period of the clubs history for the last sixty years! They were surrounded by poor players and even managers at times. I'm not a big fan of Skrtel, he's not good enough IMO but I do think you're too harsh on him. Same with Lucas. They are both decent squad players, they shouldn't have been automatic picks.

Being linked with a 21m move for kovacic... This one just won't go away but value has changed so much. From 14 to 18 to 16 now 21...

So you don't think paying £28m for a player who was being touted at half that a year ago is paying an inflated price?

Initial fee is £21m which would represent great value for a player who has had 2 very good seasons and now broken into the national side. <ok>

Adam Lallana had scored 9 league goals in the season and broken into the National side when you stumped up £25m for him last summer mate.......<whistle>

Lallana had one decent season in the PL. What's he done apart from that? Now also take into consideration that he's already in his prime ...

Now compare that to Firmino who scored goals, got assists, works harder and creates far more chances. And is only 23 ...
