Liverpool have held talks with forwards Roberto Firmino, Carlos Bacca and Salomon Rondon, according to Sky sources.
The club have widened their search for a new striker to three South American targets after deeming Christian Benteke's £32.5million asking price too expensive.
Brazilian media outlet Globoesporte has reported that an £18m deal and a five-year contract has been agreed for Firmino but Sky Sports News HQ understands this is not yet the case.

If we sign all these Brazilians that we are being linked with are we not in danger of becoming like the Russian/East European clubs who are just full of average Brazilian players. It would be nice to think they will all turn out as good as Couts in their respective positions, but that is unlikely.

Average Brazilian is still better than good English. So we've moved up in our ambitions

Firmino is currently with the Brazil squad, so he can't be all that bad

> Because United pay the likes of Falcao £300k per week, are a bigger draw than us, and have slipped out of the CL for just one season.
> Players rarely make official requests, that way they don't lose "loyalty" bonuses
> Do you honestly think being out of the CL for 5/6 years now hasn't affected our ability to retain and sign top talent?

Your first point was the most salient. 'Lure of the CL" is just the bogus clarion call of agents trying to move their players on without having to put in a transfer request. The year Chelsea only qualified by winning it, do you really think there would have been a exodus, even had they dropped off for a few seasons? My arse. And even had United been pipped by us ot Spurs this season, a player faced with us or them, or spurs or them, would ALWAYS go to United and the shinny penny, and you know it.

Likewise, and not wishing to start a riot here, but had everton qualified for the CL this season and we not, do you REALLY think that player, nine times out of ten, would go to everton if we were offering 50% more wages?

This CL malarky is utterly bogus, I tell you again. Trophies and glory? perhaps, and i can see where Lil Rim is going there, but CL? FFS, he tripped over the ball and couldn't trap a dead rat away to Ludogrets and Basle, and that's without mentioning the several sitters he missed. The girls in th England team last night truly put him to shame last night when it comes to controlling a football 9and the Norwegians were even better). You'd think he'd want to avoid it until he learns the ****ing basics of the game.

And I pointed out the kovacic line a week ago and wanted to show when it was reported on Echo live feed it wasn't balls.

Firmino and Bacca
.

Seriously, why post about him when you patently know **** all about the lad?

He made 28 appearances for us last season and it would have been higher if it hadn't been for injury

How do you know I know **** all about him? I'm saying that the game I immediately go back too is when he was destroyed by our strike force.

What you typed pal as it was absolute horse ****

Firstly you made mention of a game from the season before when he was a 19 yr old, then you said he barely played last season when he made 28 appearances, but the major give away was when you said he was average, when he's arguably the best young centre back in English football at present
