Spurs have reportedly bid £9m on Llorente. If he's available I'm surprised as hell Liverpool and any of the other big prem clubs arent in for him. He'd be a great signing.

Here's the RedLadSonofAnfield brutal honesty assessment of our current squad... don't care how you want to dress it up in your personal delusion this is the truth

Its because he is young and English which makes him average. We (England) are a very poor footballing side in world football, young foreign players are far more likely to be better than Ings. Not including Lazar Markocrap

You gave a perfect example that completely undermines your own point in Markovic! I could list another dozen foreigners we've bought and better them using youth examples from our current squad!

He's not free mate. We'll be paying no less than 7 million in compensation. Maybe more.

I maintain that this will be a value bargain bucket summer so the owners can make us more lean for a nice and clean sale next summer when they've done the stadium.
That's interesting mate. Does the same apply to Austin were we to hold onto him for the last year of his contract? The reason I ask is they are only talking about 10-15m for him now. He might be worth far more than the 3-8m difference if he scored the goals to get us back up again.

Think Austin is 25? The rules I think apply to under 24's provided they've only been at one club and they're leaving on a bosman to another English team (no comp if goes abroad)

Great player, but don't think he'd suit us. He's very much a target man

So not because of his footballing abilities then? Just his age and nationality make him average?

I suppose Balotelli is better than Kane because Balotelli is young and foreign where as Kane is young and English

It's bloody incredible we manage to avoid relegation each year... Rodgers surely is manager of the year for getting this bunch into the top half of the table <ok>

So we could have a strike force of Ings, Austin, Balotelli, Borini, Lambert and Dick Orgy next year. May be 30 goals between them if we are lucky.

I am assuming Sturridge will be injured for 80% of the season.

We need to move quickly to loan back Carroll from west Ham before Newcastle get in.

Mignolet - Decent keeper, good shot stopper and decent with crosses (when sticking to punching), not great with his feet but is alright when he sticks to the basics. Biggest problem is inconsistent
Bogdan - not great but better than Jones so its an improvement
Can - good player that is versatile, needs to find a position though
Flanagan - Good reliable consistent player that knows his limitations. Has passion, desire and heart in liking to players such as Carragher and loves the club in the same way too
Skrtel - When played in the right system he's great. Could be improved upon but he is better than some other CB's at clubs in and around us.

Toure - Shouldn't have been kept on
Sakho - very good player that is growing with each passing season.
Enrique - Decent squad player that can do a job in the first team

Lovren - Poor
Moreno - Can't defend, not great going forward but plenty of energy. Not a big fan TBH
Milner - Great signing, will be a key player for us IMO
Henderson - Quality player
Lucas - Reliable player and never lets the club down

Allen - Decent squad option
Lallana - Decent player, I think he could really shine if there were better players in front of him that he could link up with.
Markovic - Poor first season but will get better. Needs to improve his end product
Coutinho - Top quality, not quite top level but getting there.
Sterling - Overrated IMO but will become a very good player in time. Needs to improve the end product if he wants to get there though.
Ings - Decent young players
Balotelli - ****
Sturridge - Quality striker when fit
Lambert - Shouldn't have been signed
Origi - Had a good 2013-14 season and world cup, poor last year. No idea what to expect

Players missed:

Wisdom - had a decent first half of the season until Pulis came in andplayed four CBs across the back line. Decent squad player that won't let anyone down.
Mankiller - good reliable player and very similar to Flanno IMO

Coates - Probably a better option than Toure and Lovren but can't see him being with us come September.
Ilori - Decent player that should be part of the first team now.
Ibe - Quality player that has more about him than Sterling IMO

Alberto - Not good enough
Borini - Needs to be moved on

Happy to see Johnson, Jones and, although heavy heartedly, Gerrard go as well.

Key:
Players I'd definitely keep
Players I'm not convinced about but would keep for now unless a better option becomes available
Players I'd sack off immediately
Players that I wouldn't have bought this summer

Did you copy that from someone else? Seems like a lot of effort for you...

totally agree on all bar Skrtel and Lovren. Would make them both blue.

lovren needs another ther year to prove he can play, his value can't go any lower than it is atm so no point selling... There's a half decent defender in there, just needs to come out.

Skrtel, not a fan of but atm he's better than anything else we have. Still pisses me off every time he back off until he hits his 18 yard box and by then the player has 4 yards of space to shoot or pick a pass.

Thats the the good thing about Sakho and Agger before. They attack players and try to make tackles, now and then they'll miss and be beaten but it shows intent and means the whole defence doesn't drop back too far.

I'm sure Juve felt the same way. 2 Seasons, 23 goals, rather average really.

No thanks, we've been down the big lump striker before, doesn't work for us. Frankly so have Spurs, surprised to see them fall for it again (although alot cheaper than Salado) .
