Former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes was interested in bringing Ings to Spain.
But
Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay revealed a move is unlikely, stating: "We have monitored him since the winter transfer market.
"But we have not spoken to Ings' entourage for almost a month now.
"I don't think he's an easy candidate to arrive to La Real.
"He has a lot of offers from England and we will have to wait to see what he decides."
Ings, 22, greatly impressed in the Premier League last season but his 11 goals weren't enough to prevent the Clarets being relegated.
He is set to leave at the end of the season as his contract expires but, due to his age, is expected to generate the Lancashire club around £6million in compensation.
And
Liverpool are now favourites to secure his services as manager Brendan Rodgers seeks to reshuffle his forward unit for next term.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have
triggered a bidding war for Raheem Sterling after making a tentative £25m approach, according to the
Daily Star.
Sterling, 20, is set to leave Anfield this summer after a break down in his contract negotiations.
Real Madrid,
Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea are all reportedly keen on taking the England winger off Liverpool's hands.
But with United manager Louis van Gaal being given a £150m to spend int he summer transfer window, it appears they are serious contenders to prise Sterling from Merseyside.
