Happy with Milner. Solid player, 150k a week seems a bit much. But i guess thats the world we are in.

Looks like M this season.Shame its not 2012-13 when we seem to be gathering the players who's name started with a 'S' rather than a 'L'![]()
I think Milner wants to play with his heart....and regular football as well.
Lazy footballer will just stay with city and collect his wages.
Not really. We're offering him £150k PLUS signing on fee. It's one big pay off for him before he retires. We're committing £31m to Milner based on a 4 year contract and that's not including the signing on fee which will be between £5-10m.
If he wanted more mins, he wouldn't have stayed at City for the prime of his career.
Why are some fans so outraged that Raheem wanted £100k a week but happy making Milner one of the highest paid players at the club, citing it's how things are now in the market.
I don't mind if fans are happy with Milner - I'm happy to some extent. But let's not overhype his ability or exaggerate his impacto on the City team. The worst is making him out to be some sort of hard working, innocent professional because he's clearly a mercenary (and there's nothing wrong with that).
To turn it around why wouldn't fans be outraged that Sterling should expect pay similar to Milner when he's achieved **** all in the game whereas Milner has proven his consistency at the top level and won most things?
If Sterling wasn't a **** and really wanted to win things he'd put the effort in and be rewarded. He'd probably earn more than Milner over his career, but he wants to be earning more right now.
It's 110k we're paying not 150k. I'd rather we pay Milner that than Sterling.

Being a bit part/utility player for City doesn't make him worthy of such high wages. If so, then we should sign Wes Brown because he has a lot of experience of titles.
At least with Sterling, he's one of the best youngsters in world football and has proven he can play a big part in the team (as we saw last season and the first half of this where he practically carried our attack). I rather be spending all our resources in keeping him then signing a midfielder who marginally improves us.
Milner isn't a 21 year old who has achieved nothing in his career yet bar 1 decent season and holding the club to ransom, going off doing unauthorised untierviews etc.
milner wasn't demanding 100k a week at 21... He was getting his head down building his career so when he was 25 got a move to top club and win trophies.
Short term is what we need. We've had 3 years of signing potential and have loads.I'm fairly confident that we're paying more than that.
It just smacks of short termism - it's as if FSG have abandoned their policy of youth. Which is ironic because the young players we have signed are the only decent signings we've made under Rodgers.
Out of curiosity, if you had to sign either Can or Milner, which one would everyone go for?
Disregarding price.
Uncomparable signings. Can is for the future, Milner is for now. Can is also more defensive.Out of curiosity, if you had to sign either Can or Milner, which one would everyone go for?

Saying which I'd prefer is pointless as we need both.
