I would sign William Carvalho as DM - think he's a top prospect. Failing that, someone like Kondogbia. Our midfield will always struggle unless we get a proper DM.

Mateo Kovacic would be my dream signing and Inter are willing to sell.

Skrtel is only good in a back 3, and in a back 4 IF we play a deep line.

3-4-3 will be (or already has been figured out) and I doubt it's a long term solution because we simply don't have the players for it. We will go back to a back 4 and Skrtel will be found out again as he always has. Agreed, playing the middle of a back 3 suits him.

Clyne would be a very good option at RWB. I still feel that we need to persist with Manquillo because he is defensively sound and I think he can add the attacking side to his game with experience.

Would you play Markovic at RB in a back 4

Clyne would be a good shout at RWB - but Danilo would be the dream.

Shame he would cost an arm and leg, and looks set to join Barca/Real.

True.

But I rather have someone who is at the required level to play for a top 4 club, and not just overhyped Championship standard local lad.. <ok>

Good job we have Flanno who is the best full back at the club and top 4 material then <ok>

I think, (sometimes) that we need to flick through the Premier League to strengthen our squad, as said before, I think Saido Berahino would be a good capture.

A back up 'keeper too, perhaps McGregor of Hull? Cheap and British home grown quota.

I'd take a punt on Danny Ings and Ward-Prowse, if Southampton want to sell. I even like the look of Diafara Sakho, a busy lad.

These are good players, players to be moulded into very good players, one's I believe Rodgers could really mold into real Liverpool players.

People mention Alex Song...no thanks, he's West Hams level, god knows what Barcelona were drinking when they decided he's a better option than Masch.

Holding midfielder? Put shackles on Moussa Sissoko and I think you've got a top player.
We've tried that and it never works.
Last Summer, Lambert who seem to have disappeared, Lovern who is **** and Lallana who is just about passable.
Also remember, Carroll, Adam, Downing, even Allen (too much money for his level).

I'd much prefer the homegrown (club level), out of favour and overseas potential stars to be our targets and basis for the squad. Prem players are over hyped and over priced, can you imagine how much it'd cost to buy Harry Kane? Not saying he isn't a good player and having a good season but at the moment its just ONE season.

yes with these new so called rule proposals it would instantly double any english players value... i an see cases going to court however is even one player is told he has to leave as a result.

if this rule comes into being the 50mil we said sterling coudl go for is now 100mil... ok thats crazy but you get the drift.

danny ings is now instantly a 20mil player cos he is english... nothing more. him running his contract down wuold have meant burnely had to sell last jan no matter what.

Hi guys!! I'm here in Mallorca and my favourite Spanish team are Athletic Bilbao because unlike certain other clubs they are not a team full of galaticos!! In addition they play wonderful and skilful football. Will never forget them taking apart "You Know Who" from 35 miles away in the Europa League a few seasons back. Seen them a few times on TV and their most talented players are Iker Muniain, who has a style of play similar to Rooney (temperament apart) and a new guy who has just emerged from their youth ranks called Inaki Williams. A bit raw but has plenty of speed and great talent!! Keep an idea on them and if I was Brendan Rodgers I'd take a punt on both. You guys deserve the best and not journeymen footballers like Borini!!

Bit like your accusation of me using work rate to justify a player, you're the only one that ever focusing on the local thing :)

Sorry that Lovren has been disappointing for you!! No I'm not - we got 20m for him!! We do have someone better, albeit on loan from Athletico Madrid. Toby A!! I need to look up on the spelling!! Spurs are supposedly sniffing around him but to my mind he deserves a classier club than them!!
