I don't think we'll have Can in a few years if we do that. He's a player who wants to be further up, influencing games.

Would take another striker of course... and it's very important we don't change much this summer. 3-4 in, deadwood out.

Felipe Anderson would be a great signing. Watched Lazio a few times including vs Inter, Napoli because they're always on BT sport. He's a real talent who's about to become a class act.
 
i do not believe our players are good enough for top 4.... not allen, not sterling at cf.

we need a great cm to partener henderson.... eg if you were offered pogba would you say... ah no we've allen id rather buy a reserve instead,

no we must buy to improve performance not fill in gaps.

cm and striker for me. 2 top class players or players just about to be top lass once we stick them in the prem.

yoda says felipe anderson.. sure find two of those types for 20 mil each and let city pay somone 60mil for pogba or 80 mil and give him 300k

I think they are good enough this year but this is at a time when Utd and Arsenal and even City are not on their game. When (if) that lost get their acts sorted out, I'd tend to agree with you <ok>

I dont see this as the forever plan but Joe Allen does the simple and dirty work very well allowing others more freedom.

Once Can is ready to be in CM full time he can take over.

Allen is a very good squad player. I'd definitely keep him.

And he compliments both Hendo or Can far better rather than play those two together because he's disciplined at staying back in position.
 
yeah but..................... wheres the ambition lads?

i'd still like pogba and martinez. why are we settling just cos the club is?

i think the next big lfc legend is just waiting to be made but f me if that is allen or even can

I agree - I like Allen and Henderson and they have places in the squad. But we need better.

I'd start by creating the spine and that begins with a new keeper, CB, DM and striker.
 
Pogba would be simply too expensive, and unfortunately he's unlikely to move from Juventus to join us, it would be to Madrid/Barca or even $ity

Can't ever see us buying anyone at the very top of their game, ever. We'll buy and develop. Even Suarez wasn't a worldie when we bought him.....although you could see he was a bit special. Allen and Hendo are still only 24. That's younger than Suarez was when we bought him. Both could still develop a lot yet <ok>

True, but that doesn't stop us from buying younger talent who will develop into top class - using Can as an example, twice the footballer Henderson is and only 20. IMO - Henderson has a limited ceiling of potential.

But I rather us buy a dedicated DM first and foremost as this player will allow Can/Hendo to perform without restraints in the CM role.

Problem I see with Pogba is he's looked good in a poor Italian league. Its a lot of money to pay to find out if he can cope with the PL

He's also played well at International level.

And we spent 45m on two Soton players who are 'Prem Proven' but have been awful.

Top players adapt <ok>
