We'd be taking a gamble on Sturridge fitness and having only Btelly and Borini.

Hearing that Villa are willing to pay £5m for Lambert is music to my ears.
I do hope we sell him, even if we don't have a replacement.

Not going to argue about the 2013-14 Skrtel as its been done to death and I'm serious not interested in having that conversation
There are players in the PL that could replace him but i think we're best off not going there either
I'd take Song and Sissoko as that would give us some excellent option but I think we'd need to see one or two current options leave. Gerrards obviously one, Allen would be the other obvious one to most people but to Brod? I suspect Brod would sell Lucas, something I'm not keen on but at least S&S arriving would cover the DM/HM role.

There is an offer on the table for Lambert and he is weighing up whether to move to Villa or stay put. Wants regular games which he'd get down there but personal considerations come into it as his family like it in Merseyside
