true.... chelsea have said salah aint going anywhere so i think in general people are waiting for certain players to come up rather than going out and forcing the buy.

Reus will be one this summer. If he goes to real it will push someone else out the door there.

a few have running outcontracts too...

We will see, i think we'll see some moves before jan 31. prob utd flouting the ffp rules again and arsenal buying this mythical defender. nobody for city or cheslea now, nobody for us... spurs i dunno... everton need to buy but who?

after that who gives a **** where crouch goes or who happy harry hangs out of his 4x4's window at 11pm on jan 31 for.
 
Quotes form Rodgers are interesting. No way he's going in jan but come the summer we'll review.

Strikes me me of we want to replace him but don't think we can this window due to availability or money so keeping him and will get rid in summer when can replace.

Good id bit on sky sports app from carragher saying how lucas must play as he's been the lynchpin to an improved defensive display and results etc.

I know, but in all seriousness, I don't think any of us really believes that what Rodgers says in conferences is necessarily what he's thinking/what will happen. In this case, though, I'm guessing it's at least true that Lucas will stay til the summer.
 
Well.......

the thing is saying unlikely is one thing. that is fine.

but if a man says out straight no then does the oppositie you chalk him down as a liar and think less of him... this is why i follow tobes' david brent description of rodgers and call him that... he's a spoofer... a liar and he's done it on badontelly and reina... he's going to get his in the end

Put it this way he is the best young kid I have ever seen at his age and he's already far too good for the Championship. He has got the Iniesta quality about him, his close control and dribbling skills are sublime and he has such a low center of gravity. This Kid has got it all and is destined for big things. There are a lot of the premier league scouts closely following his progress and I only hope that we will get to the Premier League after this season or he will be gone.

Mings is another one with huge potential and again if we don't get promoted this year he will be gone.

Looking at old targets: would anyone be interested now? Plank's out of contract in the summer as well...

Bundesliga - 'Henrikh Mkhitaryan going to Juventus wouldn't be a surprise'

Mircea Lucescu says that it ‘wouldn’t be a surprise’ if Borussia Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan were to move to Juventus.

The Armenian has been linked with a move to the Bianconeri, with the player’s agent Mino Raiola hinting that a move could happen.

Former Inter Coach Lucescu, who is now at Shakhtar, coached the 25-year-old before he moved to the Bundesliga, and says he would fit in well in Serie A.

“I wouldn’t be surprised to see him at Juve,” Tuttosport quotes Lucescu as saying.

“He’s a guy who needs to feel loved and Dortmund have put him under too much pressure. I think his time at Borussia is over.

“I could easily see him playing behind Llorente and Tevez, or indeed any great champions. Mkhitaryan is quicker and a more willing runner than [other rumoured target Wesley] Sneijder.





“Henrikh is a complete player, he creates, wins the ball and counter attacks. Now he has to find the right environment.

“In Germany he’s been greeted with suspicion because he’s Armenian.”

Tuttosport also reports that Juventus have already submitted a bid for the player, which was turned down by Borussia Dortmind.

The newspaper believes that Raiola is trying to engineer the move, and is working with the Bianconeri to make it happen. A bid of €2m for a six month loan is said to have been rejected, in a deal which would see the move become permanent for between €15m and €18m.

Part of the reason for the rejection is thought to be that Dortmund do not want to lose the player for their Champions League campaign, where they will face Juventus in the last-16.

Mkhitaryan wouldn’t be eligible to play against Dortmund as he would be cup-tied, but it’s thought that BVB are unwilling to weaken a side which is languishing near the bottom of the Bundesliga.

we got lucky then.... a player needing to be loved is a spoiled brat.

we were unlucky with costa but not with this guy

another kid to throw on the pile like our others.

at leas tthe local english scouts (ibe, ojo, sterling) seem to have got a few to a point where rodgers pays some attention... sinclair, wisdom etc etc.

i hope you guys get up. the kid would be best off staying where he is till he is old enough to make it count.
