Pardew is a moron. Mascherano and Tevez were very talented players - he was incredibly lucky to bag the pair of them.

He's not a player we needed but he was a big-ish name and could have been a boost, especially at that price as well. It's a shame we bought Lallana instead.

Milner and Delph are cheap targets but they won't be coming until the summer anyway so other than Origi and possibly a keeper, I don't know what to expect in January.

It may be down to FFP or the owners don't want to give Rodgers any money as they may have a new manager lined up in the summer. Hopefully it's the latter because the current structure isn't working as Rodgers has no faith in the committee and even if players are 'imposed' on him, he'll end up alienating them like he has done with Sakho and Balotelli.

Have we any solid evidence that he's alienated Sakho- other than filling in some tempting blanks?
Balotelli alienates himself.

Depends who you listen to. Heard radio say that we're quite far away from agreeing anything despite the 'close' reports
 
His contract is long enough to hock him for wads of dosh if he fails to sign so I don't care

My view is when he signs he signs but if this were June the conversation should not even take place and he should be sold

Very true mate, just saying what I'd seen mate. Had just finished watching X Men: Days Of Future Past, and put Sky Sports on and I'd seen that straight away. But yeh we'll see mate, I think that Sterling signing a new contract will be the only bit of business that we do this transfer window, unfortunately.
 
I'm partially with MITO on this one. Sterling has plenty of time left on his contract so its not really a pressing matter. If he signs great, if he doesn't we carry on trying. If he doesn't sign in time I'll be gutted though.
 
So Shaqiri has signed a 4 and half year deal with Inter... so much for a 6 month loan...

Inter are dwindling in 11th place in the league so if we were interested and he chose them over us that's even more embarrassing <doh>

B; 'Well Inter Milan are interested'

TBF if anyone told me an Italian club was
a) willing to buy not loan
b) willing to pay now
I'd call their bluff too
